Threads reported for being polarized when they perfectly legal
Posted: 5/1/2009 9:14:52 PM
I am finding a lot of threads being reported as polarized. Usually with a "I have a question/opinion for the guys/girls" in the subject line, located in the ask a girl/guy forums. According to the rules it is perfectly legal to ask a specific gender or group as long as you don't try to EXCLUDE anybody.

Which can be found here:

http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingposts141520.aspx#polarize

Which states:

No Thread may exist designated exclusively for Response from a specific Gender, Ethnicity, Orientation, Religion, Public, etc. Such a Thread will be deleted. The entire Concept of a Forum is for anyone to post their Opinions and Thoughts, providing they are On-Topic, on any Threads he or she sees fit.

As an Example:

This is a Question ONLY for the Men to... = No Good !!!
This is a Question for the Men to... = Is OK !!!

As shown in the example above, it is perfectly legal to ask a specific gender or group as long as you don't try to exclude any others.

I think it would tend to confuse new posters since they came to ask a question to a specific gender from which the forum is actually named.
