| Happy Birthday Canada! Posted: 7/1/2005 6:58:31 AM | That's all! And to our American Neighbours, happy (soon to be) fourth! Being that I'm in the Capital, I'm going to avoid the hill at all costs, although a patio close to downtown may be in our agenda today. How's everyone planning to celebrate? | |

| Happy Birthday Canada! Posted: 7/1/2005 10:32:48 AM | Happy Canada Day! (p.s. there's a thread in the Canadian forum)
I was celebrating by watching a Fire Fighter's competition - great stuff. And a classic car show later. Widy here too.
Cheers!

| Happy Birthday Canada! Posted: 7/1/2005 10:33:16 AM | Happy Birthday Canada...
In my personal opinion; we would better serve our American neighbours if we also celebrated their holiday on Monday...
A four day holiday would suit me just fine...

I am sooo proud to be a Canadian but, unfortunately there are a lot of you who are not. I went to the store today and said Happy Canada Day to the clerk and she looked at me as if I was strange for saying it.
Be proud everyone!!!!!

| Happy Birthday Canada! Posted: 7/1/2005 1:37:45 PM | A great country, with a lot of potential.
To bad we are not as generally patriotic as our American friends to the South - unless a hockey game is involved.
Although we have many problems, Canada on it's worst day is ( and hopefully always will be) still better than many other countries on their best day. That tells you all you need to know about who and what we are - and what we stand for.

| Happy Birthday Canada! Posted: 7/1/2005 2:02:49 PM | @ Erik
you're in playa del carmen right now?!!
Yes, I retired here 2 yrs ago, and love it!!! The only downside is that the mosquitoes are as bad here as in Canada. The upside is that they don't sell that nasty Labatt's Blue here, Modelo Negras for everyone, on me..LOL
