I am willing to be the host...I see all kinds of things going on in the kansas city area.. thought maybe we can move the action out to central kansas. let me know if interested.

Posted: 6/3/2009 9:18:23 PM | here is what I have in mind.... I have a hog that is owed to me... I also have someone that will cook the hog... I have an after wheat harvest get together already with people from the area.. it would be awesome to add another 100-150 people to that get together..less pressure etc.. my thoughts would be to do the neighborhood party first and then have the fish folks come maybe a couple of hours later.. like around 8... it could be awesome.. have man lined up that will play any type of music we want... oh okay mainly country and could turn this into a barn dance...
let me know what you are all thinking..

Posted: 6/12/2009 5:51:41 PM | I'm game, but you know I need a lil bit more notice to be back home, especially around harvest time! I think in between Wheat/Corn harvest might work the best for our area.
Keep me posted, I'm sure we can find places for tents, campers, pickups, etc. I've got a few horses, the horse-minded people can ride, and I'm closer to Milford Lake than you are... That'd also be a great area!

Here is what I am thinking......If interested in coming rsvp to gary at altell cell phone 785-822-2202 by 7-20-09.
golfing saturday afternoon at Riverbend golf course and range starting around 1:00 p.m. this is located at 4701 South Ohio Street Salina, Kansas. We will come up with 4 person teams and will be played as a scamble with some prizes provided... more details to follow...
Between harvest celebration at 7300 s. whitmore, hog roast, medallion hunts, games, kids games, non alcholoic event... family fun.... This is a community wide event open to anyone in the area... Hog will be provided.. You are asked to bring a dessert if your last name starts with an O to Z and to bring a side dish if your last name starts with A to N. (open to all ages 0 to 121 year old folks...) For those that are attending because of this forum a mixer game will be created to allow for easier interaction...clean family fun.
Sunday activities could include something at milford lake as mentioned by cow trucker in her message...
Friday night activites...??????
I think by making a weekend of fun activities people will be more likely to come out...
please call me with any ideas you might have or to help co-host part of the weekend events...gary
To keep this from getting totally out of control on the size....I am limiting the hog roast attendance to the first 200 people who respond and rsvp to that part of the weekend. | |
