I'll remember you.
I'll go back in time
To when love was new.
I'll let go of today;
and let memories flow.
Reliving the feelings,
Of times long ago.
I will meet with you,
in your silent land;
And see you smile,
As I reach out my hand.
Just for awhile,
your presence I'll feel
Safe in your arms
pretending this is real.
I can't stay long,
so it is with regret,
That I whisper goodbye,
but I will never forget.
Though years may pass,
and death keeps us apart;
Each day that goes by,
You're still in my heart.
When darkness falls,
and sleep beckons me;
I'll call out your name,
and hope that maybe..
That just for awhile,
in my dreams you'll appear,
and when I awaken,
I will still feel you near,
I know not forever, but
