| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/20/2009 1:22:00 PM | Well... the Visa may be getting hit a bit harder than I want, but he's the only one left that I HAVE to see, so I can't miss out! I saw the Stones on the Commons, the Eagles in Moncton, and Sir Elton at Metro Centre, so... bring on Sir Paul! | |
|
| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/20/2009 1:50:48 PM | I'll be going. Boy, it's probably going to piss of all the people that use the Commons for sports as it's a week before the KISS concert so the Commons will be tied up for a bit. | |
|
| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/20/2009 2:38:58 PM | Hopefully, those sport lovers are also concert lovers!
Hey Maple (based on another thread)... meet me at a corner of the Commons for a smoke at intermission... heeheehee.

He may need some extra $ after the divorce settlement.
I hear Heather is taking him to court for millions, but rumor is she doesn't have a leg to stand on.

| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/20/2009 11:01:29 PM | | $130.00 for regular admission, $350.00 I think for vip maybe $300.00, that`s what I heard on the news, so please don`t quote me. | |
|
| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/21/2009 2:36:53 AM | | The above article indicated $125 for general admission and $305 for VIP. I'm sure there are going to be some service charges thrown in there also. Eagles were like $142 after service charges. This is cheap compared to that as there is no traveling/lodging costs involved. | |

| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/21/2009 3:29:43 AM | | Is anyone else concerned that this year there are too many concerts? Not many people are going to be able go to them all. Are they running the chance that sooner or later the disposable income will be gone and tickets will not sell as well or worse yet they will lose money on one or more of these concerts. That might make it harder to bring in quality acts later on. In my opinion only two will draw from the states, Bon Jovi and McCartney. The rest has Atlantic Canada to draw from. Kudos to Halifax for battling Moncton for the title of Concert Center of the Maritimes. | |

| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/24/2009 5:19:25 PM | I have suddenly become very popular with my out of province (barely) acquaintances. By a strange coincidence, they all miss me and want to come and visit me at the same time. Guess when .
A few more good decisions like this and we just might manage to ride this economic tsunami.

| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 5/30/2009 5:58:32 AM | What an honour, Darlena! ;-)
Got my general admission ticket... hope the weather's nice, but I survived the cold and rain for the Stones, and it wasn't ideal for the Eagles, so... no matter. Rain or shine... I'll be hanging out with the “lonely old people,” “letting go” my inhibitions, “listening to what the man said” in all his “silly love songs.”
“Maybe I’m amazed” that this “magical mystery tour” is going to “come together” in my city. “With a little luck,” this “day in the life” will be sunny and sweet… we’ll all “feel fine” and “get back” to “yesterday”… just enjoy and “let it be.”
OK, I’ll stop now… starting to sound like a CTV reporter!

| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 6/1/2009 5:51:48 AM | Poetry, I'm keepin' my fingers crossed for you that someone's "fixing a hole where the rain gets in" and you will indeed enjoy your "ticket to ride".... | |

| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 6/5/2009 10:38:21 AM | | I was going to buy tickets and take all my friends to the concert, but 35 of my friends are, or should I say used to be, seal hunters. Sir Paul, we will not be attanding. | |
|
| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 6/5/2009 12:04:15 PM | Someone always has to make some kind of political statement regarding these things. You know, maybe some of us just want to be entertained and don't give a shit about anyone's politics. I'm sure Sir Paul is deeply upset that you won't be attending. | |
|
| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 6/5/2009 12:58:46 PM | That wasn't an obviously made-up scenerio at all was it?
Strangely enough,I was going to buy tickets for 40 of my meat-eating friends, but they declined also.
Good thing,as I couldn't have afforded it

| Paul McCartney Coming To Halifax Posted: 7/11/2009 6:50:12 AM | I was standing with the crowd (to the side) at the Lord Nelson last night, when sis and I realized that most of the cops were around the parkade driveway, where we were! Sure enough... up comes Sir Paul in his SUV and we had front row spots for the royal wave, and again when he walked through the glassed-in pedway from the parkade to the hotel. He looks great! Can't wait for tonight... especially with this beautiful weather... it'll be a wonderful show!! | |
