| What do you do to cheer yourself up? Posted: 6/2/2009 2:43:02 AM | When the daily grind gets me down I do all sorts of things to cheer me up. I wind the dog up cos we end up fighting and it's a hoot. Or I might take off over the fields or into the woods with the dog and play. I look at me through someone less fortunate's eyes and see all the good things. I might watch a movie that I know is happy like Miss Congeniality, ET or whatever.
What's your happy strategy?

Go to the zoo.
Listen to my favourite music, singing along.
Pamper myself.
Eat chocolate. | |

| What do you do to cheer yourself up? Posted: 6/2/2009 2:55:22 AM | Listen to some of my favourite music
Lying in a nice hot bath with a good book
Being out in the nice weather never fails me cheer me up
Phoning my best mate who is my 'shoulder' as I am hers when it's needed
And my kids always make me laugh, especially the 3yr old, she's just nuts
oh and finally ... coming on here and reading some of the pap some people write .. never fails to make me laugh

| What do you do to cheer yourself up? Posted: 6/2/2009 3:15:19 AM | i go to my local teenage hoody drug dealer, wait for him to stop being beaten up by a pensioner to get some weed ... he usually sends me round to his immigrant unemployed claiming of the state girlfriend who lives in a three bed house with her six kids where i usually have to wait for her to finish shagging her punter .. after which i go home and roll up a big one ...
or i just come on here .. laugh at the utter rubbish that gets posted and generally feel good about my life

| What do you do to cheer yourself up? Posted: 6/2/2009 3:23:03 AM | A date??? I've booked the bloody church!!
One of my friends is often posted away & told me her 'memory box' keeps her going when she's down in the gob. I didn't have a clue what she was wittering about but she explained inside are various things that remind her of good times. Holiday/friends & family photo's, concert tickets, train tickets, daft cards or letters she'd received, drawings from the kids, & various other stuff most people would regard as junk but hold precious memories to her.
I thought it was a lovely idea though i find a nice vino picks me up no end!

| What do you do to cheer yourself up? Posted: 6/2/2009 3:53:09 AM | I pop the cork on a good bottle of Margaret river red....................Because it makes me mellow.
I look at the UK forums..................because it lets me know how well off I am.
I then look at "Urban flowers" profile and wonder if I dare...........decide I need another good bottle for courage, and finally fall off my chair !! Boom Boom..
So I live my life between hangovers, lots of giggles and unrequited love.

| What do you do to cheer yourself up? Posted: 6/2/2009 4:20:37 AM | I make false poo out of bread mix, tea leaves and gravy mix. It is clean to handle, doesnt smell, pliable, and extremely realistc (doubly so if you add the odd piece of pepper, sweetcorn or a peanut)
I go and slap it around in supermarket freezers, aisles, shelves, slippery floor signs etc pub sinks, pub carpets, the bar , returned galsses etc convertible cars, sunroofs restaurants, MacDonalds swimming pools when on holiday
anywhere you wouldn't normally want to/expect to find it ! It is just a case of mind over fecal matter.
Always good for a laugh, a diversion or safe and effective crowd clearance. Mind you the speed I cleared a swimming pool in Turkey one year was spectacular !!!
Unfortunately the last batch I made with my 4 year old, my dog ate whilst the dough was "resting".
Sods law, it went through him like a herd of Wildebeast, he was caught short and crapped a poo lake by my back door !
Serves me right eh ? | |

| What do you do to cheer yourself up? Posted: 6/2/2009 5:01:04 AM | | Cut out any crap in my diet ~ feeling a bit down can be caused by something as simple as a poor diet. I've put on a stone since Christmas, I started my healthy eating (ie: tons of veg & nothing but veg) again on Sunday & already feel much happier & I've lost 2lbs. | |
