| | Anyone see the NINJA show?Page 1 of 1 | What did you think? Missed the Tom Morello openner if someone want to tell me about that.
Trent and co. put on a good show musically, but having seen NIN before, I was a little disappointed in the light/stage show. Flawless performance, lots of energy, just not the spectacle I remember from the last show I saw ('99? when APC openned at Maple Leaf Gardens).
First time I saw Jane's, and I liked it a lot, though it kind of felt like the Dave Navarro show rather than the Perry Farrell show. Hard to believe, but Perry's 50 now, and it's starting to show, sort of like Plant later in his career. Still hitting the notes, but showing the effort. Never been a huge Navarro fan, but no question the man can play.

Best to see them when they're the headliner. Street Sweeper Social Club were alright; the only thing that rocked about them was Tom Morello shreddin' it up, and their lead singer is kind of a dink. Listening to their music makes you just think in your head 'I hope they're going to do a Rage cover' again and again until they finish and don't do any RATM and you're disappointed.
For JA you're right on. Most of the time it was long guitar solos by Navarro and yeah they sounded kickass, I still left halfway through the set.

Out of curiousity, how much were the NINJA tix at the Molson centre?

| Anyone see the NINJA show? Posted: 6/3/2009 8:23:14 PM | | I paid 25 bucks for crappy lawn seats but I think they were as high as 80. If i were you and you really want to get the full NIN experience, I would wait until they do their own headlining tour again, and the thing about NIN is that they tour their asses off. It wasn't worth it seeing them when they weren't the main attraction headlining the show | |

NIN was touring last year. I'm kicking myself for not seeing them last summer in Minnesota...they were just over the border.
I've been checking out the live footage on the NIN website and YouTube...Trent and co. sound tight....gawd, I wish I was in the front row.

I would wait until they do their own headlining tour again See, that's going to be a problem since this is sort of their farewell show. The plan is to take an indefinite break from touring. One of the main reasons I went.
Incidentally, all in, tax and surcharges, for 400's was $45.
