Posted: 6/3/2009 4:35:17 PM | | Ok. I have been out of the dating scene for awhile and was looking for a ladies perspective on what to say when you first meet someone? What is a good way to catch a ladies attention? Kind of like a pickup line I guess. Not a cheesy or goofy one either. I am looking for some opinions on what a guy should initially say to get a woman's attention and hold it long enough to introduce himself without turning her off. Also looking for what not to say. Thats good to know too! | |

Posted: 6/3/2009 5:31:30 PM | Smile...Smile, smile and then smile. I like it when a man smiles at me and I usually say something before he does if he has a nice smile. A nice smile will always get you an in.
If your at a store... play stupid. Pick up something off the shelf, chances are she is looking at the same shyt... and ask her for a recipe or what percale means...depending on what type of store your in.
If your at a bar, comment on the cheesy art work or a neon sign. Ask her how much you think the lamp would sell on Ebay for? Mention some inlaid woodworking or some color paint...in most bars you can just talk about how tacky the decor is.
I dunno... Look around you. What are you thinking. Are you willing to wear your heart on your sleeve.Can you talk off the top of your head.
I tell the truth a lot. The truth as I see it about a lot of stupid shyt. I say it out loud. There is a lot of humor in the truth. That's why I like it. Other people like it too.
Or I involve someone in my thoughts. Quite unsuspecting, but I never really get ignored. I just lure people into what I am doing. I stopped a guy in the grocery store the other day because I was trying to multiple how many packages of 6 buns I would need for each package of 8 dogs. Whatever. I just asked him to do the math...and while he was thinking about it, I was checking him out.
So... You can find all kinds of ways to connect with other people OP. You just have to be creative. Don't do it with romantic intent. Just do it.
Practice on little children and the elderly. I am most sincere. They will engage with you anywhere. They have the spirit that you need. Then bring that same attitude into the dating field.
You will be picking up chicks left and right with out any stupid lines. Trust me. | |

I'm not nice all the time - I'm -definitely- not safe....
But I'm different. That's enough.
When I go to a club, if I make eye contact, occasionally I will just point at the girl for like 1 or 2 full seconds. Then go about my business.
That girl almost ALWAYS tries to find me because it makes her curious. Additionally, self confidence is everything. I don't find reasons to talk to a girl - I just do it. If I can't find anything to say, I tell her that and let her know that I came to talk to her because she was cute but I'm drawing a blank.
My transparency is different. Different = a chance.
I've even crooked my finger at a girl before and she's come over to talk.
Balls = confidence = a chance. No balls = perceived as no confidence = friend zone or no chance.

THEN, next picture, you with, what is it? A machine gun? Too much terminator.
With girls like me, (prolly more girls than your think ) gun picture negates the gingerbread man and the photo in the Girly accessory shop.
