| What do guys believe impresses a woman?
Posted: 6/5/2009 8:39:26 PM | I'm curious as to what men believe might impress women? Why are there so many that seem to think their drinking skills/abilities, pics without shirts, cars, bikes, etc., impress women? Are there really any takers? Pictures of men in a drunken state only tell me they will constantly want to party or may be a future alcoholic. Pics without shirts?..... I like to believe there is something to be said for leaving some things to the imagination. So much more fun to have something to look forward to finding out later. The whole car thing..... if it's an interest then I like to know about it, but I really don't care what you drive. It means absolutely nothing to me.
On the other side, what impresses a man or catches his attention? I may need some advice with my profile and/or pics if anyone is willing. | |

Posted: 6/5/2009 8:49:20 PM | i dont try to impress women, i simply am who i am, a decent hard working guy with values and morals, be weary of the guy who talks about how much he makes, or what kind of car he drives, as for pics without shirts, they show the body because their isnt much in the brains to show you. as for your pics they are fine, just keep in mind even a blind squirel finds a nut if he looks hard enough, be patient you are young,

Posted: 6/5/2009 8:55:38 PM | I think guys like being guys. I would highly recomend guys to be men and not create profiles that every single lady would love. That would be so lame.
I used to think that men ought to clean their acts up with that stuff. But I say let men be men and for the ladies who love us and all our short comings, please stop by and say hello. Most women are just here for flirting anyways.
On ladies profiles we like nice pictures, of course. At least one full length body shot. And for those who read the profiles, which I assume most of us do, too many words for us "cavemen" is hard. Just shorten it up, add some spice, add some humor, get rid of the long list of disqualifiers "if you have any" and make yourself appear to be fun and open minded.
Here's one thing a lady wrote that was HUGE: "And gentlemen, please write, I promise to return all messages one way or the other ". Huge! | |

1. Women like nice abs as much as men like nice breasts.
At least, according to the women I hang around.
2. I am much more successful getting numbers at a rave vs any other nightclub.
Probably because at raves you can take your shirt off.
And without my shirt off I don't stand out much, since everyone is taller than me.
3. Being eccentric, outgoing and confident. That also impresses women. | |

1. Photo
2. Independence
3. Intelligence (3 or 4 can be swapped depending on the intelligence of the woman)
4. Car
5. Personality/humour
Some of you will deny it but don't bother the vast majority will follow this order.
Offline I'd say
1. Looks
2. Personality
3. Finances

Plenty of women like to see men w/o shirts, what kind of car they drive and if they like to party, especially women my age.
If this stuff doesn't mean anything to you then why are you posting on here about it?
I see lots of women with their cats/dogs in their pics...like I care what their cats or dogs look like. So guess what, I don't message the women that have that in their profile. So don't message guys that have things in their profile you dislike. Pretty simple, huh?

Smarts obviously doesn't attract anything... I'm always either too intimidating or a 'know-it-all'.

what impresses women is how big of a douche-bag a guy can be... those that are outspokenly jack-ass-esque have a much higher likelihood of attracting attention, and ultimately, an emotional response. | |

I think most men believe it because its been scientifically proven that women subconsciously think of the potential mating partner as a provider for their children, and that financial status plays a big role in their subconscious decision. | |

I like to see that they are accomplished.
I like to see that they aren't afraid to work hard and get what they want.
It turns me on to see a man and his toys that he has worked hard for.
I don't have to want them, but the fact that he enjoys them is adorable.
The pic with the guy holding the dead fish...Why? Because he got up at some ungodly hour and spent hours waiting for that sucker big one to bite. Shows determination.
I love it.
What's a better pic a man with a 46" girth, sitting under a bridge with a brown paper bag and a bottle of Mad Dog?

Men will be men and whether they blatantly put it out there or wait until they meet you. They are gonna want to show you their house and vehicles and there abs and if they really really like you their power tool! Ooooo yeah baby, SHOW IT TO ME.

A nice body is a huge plus.
Then comes the personality, from my experience, a guy that can holds a conversation, and have sense of humor wins all the time. | |

Posted: 6/6/2009 3:51:08 AM | Different strokes for different folks. I don't assume that anything will impress all. Guys who drink a lot will tend to impress women who also drink a bit. Guys with flashy cars will tend to impress women that like flashy cars.
As for what I am impressed by in a woman's profile; I'm impressed by good writing - poor spelling is a turn-off. I'm impressed by a woman that can communicate her thoughts and can articulate a sense of logic (and humor) in her thinking.
