| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/4/2005 8:32:57 AM | CENA CAUSE HE'S SOOOOO HOT!
......j/k, you probably thought since I was a chick, I would be a hardcore Cena fan hahahaha.
My favorites as of right now are Benjamin, Haas, Jericho, Mysterio, RVD, Angle, Beniot, and Gurrerro.
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/4/2005 10:39:00 AM | Thank goodness you're NOT a Cena fan!!! I can't stand the guy - he's gotta be the most undeserving WWE champion of all time - plus I hear his (c)rap album SUCKS!!!
I'm also a big Kurt Angle fan as well - hell, one time when I went to a Smackdown taping here in Toronto a few years ago, my friends and I started a "WE WANT ANGLE!" chant (he was in a tag match teaming up with Benoit vs. Eddie and Chavo) in the middle of the match and others started joining in - it got heard on t.v., too!
It was funny too - last year at Summerslam, my friends and I had this big reversable sign (there were five of us and we each held up one card of the sign) - one side spelled out "Benoit" and the other side spelled out "Orton" - both sides of the sign got picked up on t.v., too!

| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/4/2005 11:22:24 AM | In my opinion Cena is the nxt best thing--- no pun intended--- the wwe is a client of mine and they will be coming to town in august 2 weeks before summerslam with the main event being cena vs edge----would edge make a good champ---probably not--- and as the song bad bad man sez I flip fools like them clam shell celuar phones---u cant help but nod your head to the track----

| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/4/2005 2:15:21 PM | Road Warriors/Legion Of Doom for what thet did to the tag team division in pro wrestling. If it wasent for them I dont tag team wrestling as big as it is today.
Paul Heyman not a wrestler but if he dident bring in the Mexican style of wrestling into the United States and Canada we would never really get a chance to see such stars like Rey,La Parka,Super Crazy and a whole bunch more in our great countries.
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/4/2005 3:00:16 PM | gr8_1, did you pick up that new Road Warriors/Legion of Doom dvd yet? Just wondered - being a fan of them and all that.
I just picked up that new 3 disc set, "The Greatest Wrestling Stars of the 80's" - highly recommended I almost forgot just how awesome guys like Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper were back in the day - two more all-time favorites of mine.
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/5/2005 4:20:22 AM | I picked up both and still have to watch them all, lots of hours on those dvds and not enough time LOL
On a side note were you at the Argos home opener?

| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/5/2005 6:37:02 PM | THE ROCK!!!!!!!
He "Lays the Smackdown on your Candy Ass!"
The Rock was the most charismatic wrestler in the WWE. His eyebrow and one liners were priceless. I miss him so much!
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 7/5/2005 7:29:04 PM | Yep, as a matter of fact I was at the Argos home opener, gr8_1!
Getting back to the WWE, apparently on July 20th they're holding a WWE night at Skydome (I REFUSE to call it by its new name) at the Jays game, with Roddy Piper hosting a special between innings edition of "Piper's Pit", with Bobby Heenan and Gene Okerlund. I mentioned it in the other WWE thread, but I thought I'd put it in here as well.

| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 3/3/2006 3:21:36 AM | | It's gotta be your Olympic hero Kurt Angle. Intensity, integrity and intelligence, the guy oozes it. | |
|
| |
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 3/3/2006 1:05:17 PM | | My favorite WWE superstar is none other than "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Why? Because he is a zillion time world champ and he has charisma that is second to none, and when i am 50 or so i would love to be in that kind of shape! WHooooooooooooooooooooooooo! | |
|
| |
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 3/3/2006 4:09:56 PM | | WWE favorite would be Chris Benoit. From Calgary and got to see him cut his teeth. Favorite overall wrestler regardless of promotion is hands down AJ Styles. Most electrifying wrestler out there today (no relation to me). | |
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 3/4/2006 4:06:59 PM | Stacey Kiebler ( actually preferred her WCW Miss Hancock character, still the best inside joke in wrestling names imho) , and Foley.
If you are male, and a leg man, you can figure out the first one.
Foley ( I suggest non-wrestling fans read his book, it's quite interesting and well written) I always liked for his dedication and humour. Some of the things he has done are remarkable, and worthy of being called athletic.
I was never really a die hard fan, but I have gone to a few matchs when I received free tickets.
There was a short period, back when Kurt Angle was "Funny Kurt", where I watched simply for the great laughs involved. The incident where Kurt presented the Undertaker with a pink Vespa ( to make up for knocking over his Harley accidently) had me just :
It's great fun to go to a match and watch the crowd reaction, especially the kids.
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 3/4/2006 5:04:48 PM | | Sabu! i suppose he's retired from all indie promotions for good now, but he was the most fearless man ive ever seen in the squared circle. he was a force in ECW and took any bump imaginable. | |
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 3/13/2006 5:57:11 AM | Chris Jericho..the guy is the best, has great mic skills and is amazing to watch in the ring. He also has the best entrance. I hope he comes back, been gone since August 2005. | |
|
| favorite wwe superstar and why Posted: 3/13/2006 11:47:52 AM | In the past(WWF): Ricky Steamboat, Hulk Hogan, Brittish Bulldogs, Bret Hart, etc. Basically liked all the baby faces when I was a young kid. Started to hate some of them by the time I was 12 or so once I saw through their lame gimmicks and realised their lack of wrestling skills(Ultimate Warrior and Hacksaw Duggan come to mind here).
Current WWE: Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair, and some of the cruiserweights that are consistently being burried(Paul London and Brian Kendrik are amazing in the ring, they should be in TNA where they could actually have a chance of getting over, or at least used on TV more then once a month).
TNA-Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Christopher Daniels, etc. There are so many good workers in TNA it's a lot harder to find guys who stand out there...
