for example, i'm attracted to men in authority - ie: police officers, firemen, top business executives, politicians, etc - theres something about the control that they have that i enjoy - i guess i like a guy whos in charge
as for musicians - i think a lot of ladies like them cause they are in the center of attention because it feels good to have the person everyone wants - another reason is theres nothing hotter than having a guy sing to you - that all being said... personally i dont find muscians terribly sexy - especially rockers - i just cant get past the gruffy clothes and long hair - give me the head honcho of a fortune 500 company anyday!!! | |

I must admit that I have been attracted to a few guitar players here and there. It's very sexy when a man can go on stage in front of a huge crowd and put all their energy and excitement into playing a good set. And then after the show, there is always going to be a wicked afterparty that involves a lot of booze, smokes, drugs and sex. What wouldn't be exciting about that?  | |

Posted: 7/4/2005 11:09:01 AM | I married a musician, a guitar player. When we were dating and he would play gigs, a friend of mine said "Look at him up there! Doesn't that just make you go crazy? I would be soooo turned on by that!" It really made me think......hmmmm, I dunno, personally I would rather be sitting with my partner and enjoying the show together. He was always so far away!
I think it's a romanticized fantasy, like actors or other famous people kwim? It's like a dream or something, but guess what...you have to wake up! They are just regular people like the rest of us.
Musicians tend to be a little more in touch with their feelings though...that's one attraction for me. | |

Posted: 7/4/2005 2:23:31 PM | I TOTALLY DON'T GET IT!! my brother is a musician, and he's the biggest player that i know!...everywhere he goes someone is dangling off his arm...and why?!?!?! the vast majority of musicians/artists make little money, and are usually eccentric. so here i am, can't find anyone, highly responsible & make more then my brother ever will, so wtf? ((shrugs))

Posted: 7/4/2005 9:44:32 PM | | ok the real reason is this when someone is playing music they are focused on something that can only be described as emotional. there are never really any words to describe how someone feel about music. therefore women tend to equate musicians as men that can speak with more than just their mouths. they feel that music is from the heart and since they are playing from the heart they will act in that fasjion in all aspects of their life. i am a muscican i have been playing bass for 15 years and can play guitar and drum and sing. when im playing for a woman im not even paying attention to them. i am completely focused on the task at hand. without saying a word i have made love to my instument in a way and the women see that as something very sexy. and dont forget guys a womans most erogenous zone is her MIND. | |

and of course many girls would like to have status, so being with a guy who is in the spotlight is a real turn on

Posted: 7/5/2005 10:23:24 AM | LOL -- Well...it's all of the above that you guys have stated. I am actually one of those women who are attracted to musicians.
I don't entirely think it's the "fame & money" unless u are following big stars around the world. But being attracted to, persay, a local musician...is because of the talent they endure, the music they play (im a rock fanatic), i love watching their creative wisdom at work when they are creating a new song, having them sing to me, and watching them on stage when their showing off their stuff ;)
Let's put it this way...we are all intrigued by different things in our life. Some people are hockey buffs, golf buffs, music puffs, into politics....whatever. When we find people who share the interests that are similar to ours, it makes them *that much* more attractive to us. I'm a huge music fan, i listen to it non-stop and check out local bands and such, so the musician trend is apart of me...watching them create something that i love. That is what we call...attraction :)

Zauvir made some good points above. I'd add that I think that there's a certain amount of confidence that goes along with performing for others. That confidence can be attractive to women.
As for why they might prefer drummers more, it could be the physicality involved in the instrument, it could have something to do with all the rumours about how good their rhythm is, or they could just be grateful that they don't play accordion. | |

Yes I am a drummer also and yeah I always saw the singers getting the women and the lead guitar playes landing the women . Oh yeah us drummers were known as the weird ones who do craszy ass stuff most of the times !!But if it is drummers the ladies love then it must be our good hand & eye control !! Oh well yes I guess being able too stay in rhythm with all them drums & cymbals with our hands & feet might just be the thing women love !!
I wonder if any women can keep in rhythm to some BLACK SABBATH tunes !!
As for it being Power well I guess a drummer has the power over anyone in a band cause if we screw up everyone screws up !! | |
