Have you ever tired this delectable morsel? My mum made them on a platter for her first watercolour workshop (she's a teaching visual artist).
I am sad, so very sad, I have a whole packet of prunes, and no cream cheese. :(
Where is the fun in that?

I can imagine it would be delicious! I have filled dates with cream cheese, then wrapped about a half piece of bacon around them, then baked until the bacon is crisp. i can eat those till I'm sick.....bet you could try that with the prunes too, if ya hd some cream cheese that is.

Oh my goodness, they both sound yummy.

I would email you some cream cheese, but, it may get stuck in the keyboard

you can do damn near anything to cream cheese and it will turn out great. i've done platters with cream cheese slices alternating with apple and pear. i've mashed it with salsa, pureed it with garlic and basil, mixed it with crushed hazelnuts and dill...all heavenly! it's one of the few processed foods i totally love!

Some ketsup, horseradish, and lemon juice over the top of cream cheese served with crackers and an icy cold beer. Sigh...

Never tried it but it sounds good! Love prunes, love cream cheese, why not!

I love cream cheese, a bit of scallion, and a bit of chives stuffed in cherry tomatoes. Wicked!

Also cream cheese with a bit of sugar stuffed in strawberries, great picnic fare!

Try figs with goat cheese, or fig preserves..You can stuff figs with goat cheese, wrap a grape leaf around them, drizzle some honey on it, then add toasted almonds slivers....DEEEEEEELISH

My birthday is in a few weeks, and since appetizers are my favorite foods, my birthday meal of indulgence will probably consist of several yummy appetizers and a decadent dessert. The above ideas sound yummy, as I love figs, dates, goat cheese, honey, and cream cheese.

Cream cheese is best in jalapeno poppers or with jalapeno jelly. Mmmmm. Why do I torture myself like this? I have been on an elimination diet from the naturopath for three months, cannot have any dairy or sweeteners or........

Yep, jalapeno poppers are the best! Gotta cook them a little to tone the heat down. I'm trying to eliminate fried stuff though....wonder if you can bake them with a little olive oil?

We always baked our poppers! I used corn flake crumbs for the outside, stuffed them with cream cheese mixed with cheddar. Mmmmm, been way too long! lol

Replace the creamcheese with Goat Cheese...if you like...add chopped pine nuts..toasted..or walnuts to the cheese before stuffing the fig..or..prunes...then drizzle with honey...that is mixed with Ancho chili powder.....
