Why do you not post a picture with your profile?
It's only fair that you do cause you want to see what the other person looks like!
So give it up! Get a grip! Bring out the brave side of you and put that updated picture up!

| Why do you not post a picture?
Posted: 6/19/2009 12:53:28 PM | From what I have experienced on here in the past, yes! lol. Okay so if it's not that, here are the other possibilities and excuses I've heard:
"I don't have a camera, a camera phone, a scanner.... but hey we should meet anyway. You won't be disappointed!" WARNING, TRICK!!!! (my answer... I don't meet people without seeing at least a couple of pics first... so... NO.) I have met people long ago that didn't have pics. BAD IDEA!!!!
"I don't need people knowing what I look like, too many people know who I am!" (I think I'm a celebrity disorder / everyone wants to stalk me paranoia)
"oh don't worry I am attractive." (usually not the case).
However, I met a few with fuzzy hard to see pics... headshots only .. and I met them..  WOW.. they were extremely attractive, great bodies and everything. So.... sometimes you just have to take chances!
But yeah, as a general rule, NO PIC = BEWARE!! And make sure they are dated recently! Oh yeah that was me 10 years ago!! NOOOOOOOO! | |

If someone really isn't comfortable having their pic posted then they can always have private pics that they can send out so at least they could attach pics if they email someone. I will not meet anyone again without seeing a pic. | |

Yesterday, I got an email from someone whom I'd never contacted and I could no see - no picture posted on their profile so as it says I'm going to do right in profile, I deleted it without reading it. So today she writes back, this time with a picture, lambasting me for deleting her without reading and saying thankfully she found out I was like that now. What!!! You posted no picture lady, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt by addressing you as lady. And then you say I'm wrong for deleting a ghost letter. Please get real. | |

Posted: 6/26/2009 5:20:06 PM | Only because I'm hosting a party do I accept email with no picture. Only after the party my restrictions will go back to no pictures.
When you don't post a picture, that automatically tells me you're hiding something.... but that is just me.
People need to be real. Would you go have a drink or dinner with someone you haven't seen first? My answer is no.

Posted: 7/15/2009 1:58:32 PM | I can only speak for my self as to why I don't post a picture; This is my second profile, I deleted the first one (which had pictures). Every time I turned around I was getting messages from women who were not my type. Why does POF want me to enter my preferences when they don't actually send me the profiles of those who match them? I say "women between the ages of 38 and 50" and I get messages from women who are 27, 35, 56 etc... Further, I decided that the only way to find someone here is if I do the searching. I have gone through hundreds of profiles and have yet to find someone I'm interested in. Did I not get the memo that said "all women must now be biker chicks" ? It seems like the vast majority of the profiles here say something to the effect of "love harleys".
Then there are too many liars here! When did fat become average? When did pot become not a drug? When did schools stop teaching sentence structure, spelling, or general English Grammar? If you're going to state that you have an advanced degree, take the time to actually achieve one, or at least buy a dictionary. | |

I have been off and on this sight for a few years and actually just got out of a 6 month relationship with a man I met on pof. I have nothing to hide. I have pictures and yes full length pictures also set as private images and I always attach one when I send someone an email. Yes I am a private person on a very public site go figure. Long story short, I will always share if asked and will always send one along with an email, but for the rest of the pervs and trollers they are just out of luck.. | |
