Posted: 6/19/2009 8:07:30 AM | Come one-come all to the 1st annual fish picnic. Time: 11:00 am to sunset Date: Sunday July 26th 2009 Rain or shine Place: Willow Springs Woods----- Right off of willow springs road just South of Archer avenue on the east side of the street. Hosted by navy4ever and co-hosted by mach56 All you need is a lawn chair, cooler with something to drink, and maybe a picnic lunch. WE could use some small grills. There will be some activities such as volleyball, softball, been bags, horseshoes, badmitten, And maybe a co-ed water balloon toss. Children, and pets are also invited But please NOTE that pets must be on a leash. Fun for all and we can get to know each other a little better. Directions are from I-55 and Lagrange road (route 45) : Take Lagrange road South to the Archer ave. exit and go west to Willow Springs road. Turn left and go South just a few short blocks to the Willow Springs forrest Preserve. Turn into the preserve and up the hill and we are the grove on the left. We have a Shelter with plenty of picnic tables.There are porta-johns that are in the preserve also. Come out and let"s have some fun!!!!!!!!!!!
**Everyone to bring their own food/drinks for the event, some are bringing a dish to pass for the community table, but that is up to you......**

Well here is the first annual POF picnic!!
Jim and I tried our best to get something centrally located for everyone!!
This is the best we could do!
The permit is in the mail so .......
ITS ON FOR THE BIIGEST EVENT OF THE SUMMER!!!

there is no excuse for not going!
Everyone brings their own food and drinks!
This way everyone can come out have fun and everyone can set their own budget!
Jim and I are handling the cost of the permit
so everyone just brings what they will eat and drink!
one important point though!!!
PLEASE NO GLASS BOTTLES OR CONTAINERS!!
the Forest Preserve rules!!
we will have recycling bags also!!
so bring your grill or sandwiches or that bucket of Chicken..
( Jim and I arent fussy)

to al new fishies I know its a little hard going to the first event!!
But once you test the waters all the others fishies will swim up too you!!
I hope we get a great turnout for this picnic
all are welcome!!
and we have a huge shelter in case the weather turns bad!
And there is a lot of trees and shade in case it gets real hot!
I know it will be with all the hot looking femaale fishies coming!!! | |

Tammy...You got to come to this picnic as all of your friends will be there. To Jules...Okay...you're a dj and you have to work this Sunday(7/26)..my question to you is "Will you have time to come to the picnic when it starts(11:00AM)" and then you can leave at a time enough to go to the place where you have to do your "DJ" gig?. Doesn't your work as a DJ start sometime in the evening which will then allow you to come to the picnic at a early time and have time to "picnic-party" with your POF friends? It's just I feel like I'm not meant to go to any of these parties.. They almost always fall on Fridays ( or on a Saturday that I just happen to have a private party on) Maybe I'll organize an event just so I can make it LOL! | |

Does anyone have a "karioke machine" that they can bring to the picnic and have it set-up for singing? Also we would need a portable generator to get the karioke machine operable. So...are their any singers in POF land that has a karioke machine? It will be a fun gimmick and it will get the picnic-party bopping and hoping. If this forest preserve has a good shelter with a good cement foundation, perhaps we can have some dancing? So whose volunteering to sing? Jim. | |
