I have to admit I really like the Pet Shop Boys. I know their music is a little cheesy and very 80s, and a lot of my friends make fun of me for that. But they put some great music out. "Actually" is probably their best album.

I like Belinda Carlisle.

I still listen to Tiffany. I've been a fan since 1988.

I think we're alone now...

I have a ton of guilty pleasures, mainly one hit wonders of the 80s and 90s, and glam/hair metal. I don't care what anyone says, Poison is fun as hell to listen to.

I like many types of music that may not be "popular" or "trendy," and feel no guilt for listening to it or admitting so.

I don't think I have any guilty pleasures because I don't hide any part of my music collection. I love some music like I like a bad horror movie. It may not be the most artistic masterpiece I've ever seen but I'm drawn to it enough to enjoy it over and over again and in some ways interact with it more. I love over the top high spirited crazy pop. I can sing along to The Darkness at the top of my lungs, embrace the gender bending pop of the Scissor Sisters with gusto, dance like a hyperactive kid to Junior Senior and actually put on a straight face and say that Hansons last to c.d.s are good respectable examples of a mature pop group. Love me some Mandy, Christina and Kelly too. Oh, and Gregg Alexander (New Radicals) is a pop God. He broke me into respecting pop as a musical genre with merits. No guilt here! A lot of weird looks though! lol Peace!

Whether it's Poison, Pet Shop Boys, ABBA or even some "Boy Band"...... they had/have
SOMETHING more than the average person that got them a recording contract . I always use The Ramones as an example ; purely New York neighborhood 'punks', who had an
eccentric streak that gave them the passion and to some degree, discipline, to put together something that was not great by most conventional musical 'standards', but certainly with great passion, style and even execution . Other bands may seem cheesy, but have players that are well above average.

My guilty pleasure is Nickelback , who for a long time I considered a 'cookie-cutter-formula'
band that I say started with early grunge, especially Pearl Jam, Soundgarden..... some would say Nirvana..... I've never heard any band that really sounds like Nirvana. I still consider Nickelback to be 'cookie-cutter', but they sure do it well . There are others who do it well too, I just recently got drawn in by Nickelback by the wry humor and sort of paradox of the song 'Rockstar'. I somehow decided on their second album after listening to samples of all their albums ........ love every song!

Oh man, I love both of those songs!
Almost anything 80s for me is a pleasure, not really a guilty one though (I love 80s :) ).

I guess I would have to say songs like 'Fishing in the Dark' by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and some songs by Alabama (eg. Cheap seats :) ) are my guilty pleasure - they stuck with me a bit from my childhood. I'm not a big country-music fan nowadays but what I grew up with I'm don't mind.

Here's my guilty pleasure within the definitely non-guilty 80s. I listen to more 80s than anything else.

Sex Dwarf - Soft Cell
I Could be Happy - Altered Images
Angst in my Pants - Sparks
Feet Don't Fail Me Now - Utopia
Everything She Wants - Wham
People Who Died - The Jim Carroll Band
Never Say Never - Romeo Void

KC and The Sunshine Band.

Went to see him about a year ago at the LV Hilton with friends. We had so much fun. Eveyone was on their feet dancing through the entire show, we had such a blast.

For me it'd have to be certain female artists, namely Sara Bareilles, Adele, and Kate Nash :)
