Posted: 6/22/2009 4:26:48 PM | September 19th. 10:00am - 5:00pm. Save the date, mark it on your calendar, to attend the 2nd Annual Shelby Farms Picnic. Come see old friends and make new ones. We had a blast last year and we're going to continue the tradition.

****LOCATION: PICNIC AREA 6 - SAME LOCATION AS LAST YEAR.****
Now I can start the sign up list for the food. Here is a list of what is needed. Please let me know what you can bring.
THINGS WE NEED:
*hamburger meat
*hamburger buns
*hotdogs
*hotdog buns
*continments such as mayo, mustard, ketchup, BBQ sauce
*potato salad
*baked beans or any other beans
*lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onion
*desserts
*chips & dip
*paper/plastic plates, forks, knives, spoons, cups
*napkins
*soft drinks - NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE PARK
*coolers of ice
*platters to put hamburgers & hotdogs on
*casseroles - if you bring one PLEASE bring a serving spoon
*your special dish that only you know how to make

Just so everybody will know where to go when you get in the park.
Turning off Walnut Grove onto Farm Rd you will stay to the right going into the park. Stay on that road, and you will go over 3 speed bumps and go just a lil way's till you come to the 4way stop. The picnic area
#6 will be right in front of you there. We will have some signs up that say POF picnic when you get to the 4way.

Looking forward to this....let me know what I can do to help! I will bring desserts...probably something handy at a picnic like cupcakes. I will try to some "sugar free" for those in our group that are sweet enough. And something decant for those that aren't sweet enough It is reunion time! Posted: 7/27/2009 11:30:00 AM | I am so excited about this party. I hope this will be an ANNUAL picnic at Shelby Farms in the month of September. I remember that day last year was absolutely beautiful weather. A brave step for me. But I must say, it totally changed my entire life.
Giggles, and I fulfilled one of my things on my bucket list. A ride on a motorcycle!!! Thanks to Brenda & Steve for asking the man. And Mark (HarleyGuyMark) for lending me his helmet.
Thanks to all of your that has hosted all of the parties throughout the year. Each and every one of them have been a blast.

I met so many friends over the last year and hope to meet a lot more. You people are great, thats all i can say.

I've also posted a list of items that is needed to make this picnic as successful as it was last year. So everyone talk it up, tell all your friends, and sign up. We're going to have a blast AGAIN.

I will do desserts.........more than likely cupcakes since they are easy to handle. I will have the info this week on the T-shirt idea and will send it to you via email. Then you can do what you want with it. I think I will have one made up for me just because, LOL. I will also get one for Mikie since he started all of this and I owe him a belated birthday present, LOL.
I am so looking forward to all of this! It will be great to see everyone again. Plus, meet some new folkes too.   | |
