i went to the beach the other day with my children lying there on the beach was this stick figure women in really nice shape she had a body like a body builder. this women is so dark her skin looks like leather. would you date a woman that looks like this? is it a turn on to you men?

| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:05:56 AM | | No, I find the vanity of women who tan just to tan (as opposed to just being outside for other reasons and happening to get tan in the process, which I don't mind) to be very unappealing. Tanning beds are even worse. Sickly pale is sexy. | |

| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:09:31 AM | sicly pale im not but i am irish lol | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:12:51 AM | | I prefer women that are naturally tan ... makes a nice juxtaposition with my ultra-white-as-a-fresh-bleached-sheet skin. D*mn irish heritage! | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:23:38 AM | OP I can't answer your question.
There's too much fat girl lingo in there... like "stick" and "body like a body builder" etc.
But basically, if a woman is overtanned, if she has a beautiful body I will still look. I probably wouldn't date her, but I would still enjoy looking.
I said all this with love. But when you ask questions you have to think objectively.

| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:29:03 AM | | Tanned is good.But I don't really like the leather tan look. | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:39:55 AM | If a woman has a body builder build... she is far from a stick figure. I personally think that women who body build/fitness model are some of the most beautiful women on the planet. It takes a LOT of work to get and keep that body. I actually envy them (and hope to one day be in the same body class as them).
If she IS a body builder, she tans to show her definition and tone more under the harsh spot lights during competition. SO... my guess is, she is not doing it to get dates... she is doing it to get points... and maybe win a competition.
I recently had a man tell me if I didn't have so much tan, he'd find me attractive. I get mine from walking a couple miles to and from the gym everyday. I EARNED this tan!! That man can take his back handed compliment and shove it up his a$$.
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:43:36 AM | ^^ This made me giggle.
Perhaps it is just me, but I feel a lot of anger, resentment, and jealousy in the OP's post.
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:49:48 AM | | There's a reason that Nicole Kidman looks as good as she does (beside the obvious), she protects her skin from the sun. Tanned women are sexy but they compromise their health in pursuit of the ultimate bronze. I would prefer to date a woman who spray tans and is respectful of her body. | |

would you date a woman that looks like this? is it a turn on to you men? If the woman is facially attractive to ME, don't see why not.
As far as the tanning is concerned, it's not a turn-on for me -- BUT it isn't a turn-off either.
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:55:58 AM | lol im far from being jealous or angry i guess the way i said stick figured i ment she was too thin for her height i thought her looks was very pretty but i just thought she was to tan and for the fat comment thank you for noticing but your comment doesnt bother me and i have to agree with alot of women that puts time and effort into their bodies thats way awesome and i also go to the gym 4 times a week so i know how hard it is to get keep in shape. | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 7:59:55 AM | ^^ If you really feel this way, you should word your posts differently in the future.
And I agree with MistieD. Saying "stick" and "body builder" to describe one person is oxymoronical.
And I have NEVER in my life heard anyone other than a fat girl call -ANYONE- a stick.
Ever. | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 8:02:45 AM | if a fat person describes someone as thin.. shes jealous.. but.. if a thin woman describes a fat woman as fat.... why doesnt she get called on it :( theyre only descriptions | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 8:04:00 AM | A nice tan looks.. nice.
It still wasn't clarified if she was a "stick" (read: not obese) or an actual body builder (read: in shape).
But either way, I'm going to just go out on a limb and say yes, I would date her and yes she would turn me on. As long as she doesn't smoke.
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 8:04:08 AM | I guess the color or texture of ones skin is a personal choice. I was never granted the option of tanning deep and dark. I just turn a bit more honey color even tried the tanning booths way way back when, I think anyone would be a turned off by skin the texture of leather... I think that is what they make moisturizer's for.
I also have to agree with the statement she is most likely using the tan to show definition in competitions... IF she was a true body builder.
Actually OP I do also agree with alot of the statements where it does sound a bit snarky here about the other woman. Good for you going to the gym to get in shape.

if a fat person describes someone as thin.. shes jealous.. but.. if a thin woman describes a fat woman as fat.... why doesnt she get called on it :(
I think it was the use of the word "stick", not "thin". If someone is said to be thin... they probably are thin. If someone is said to be fat... okay, not always... but usually she IS fat.
Though I have to admit, I have heard some rather thin girls called fat. Like on "The Devil Wears Prada", Anne Hathaway's character is always called "fat" even though she is a size 6.

| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 8:11:13 AM | Oh geeze... it's that stupid plus sized chicks can't get a date thread all over again.
Mystie! Run! GET TO THE CHOPPA!
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 8:20:52 AM | | I'm white as a sheet and would need to spend a week in the sun just to knock off the blue...I still get plenty of male attention though...I have the 'Gothic Princess' look going on lol...My ex died of melonoma skin cancer...I'm good with my natural color... | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 9:35:34 AM | | I've passed on dating some very nice and attractive women because they spend too much time in the sun or tanning. They may still look good if they're young, but in a few years they're probably going to be wrinkled and leathery, and perhaps have skin cancer. If they're my age, they usually look much, much older because of their skin condition. | |
|
| women that tans Posted: 6/24/2009 9:36:08 AM | A tan "looks" nice, but untanned women are just as attractive.
But, leathery skin, no, I am not a fan of it, so, no, I would not find the woman you spoke of as attractive. My preference actually is pale skin. But, that's just me.
