Hi sun is shining...making me want to pack up and go away for a few days..
what are your plans for the summer????
I will be cruising on the Leeds Liverpool canal in my canal boat....chilling...and fishing...and hopefully catching a few rays of glorious sunshine.

Hey OP I cruised the Leeds Liverpool Canal many years ago - started at Barton.
Im off to Tenerife for 2 weeks in August but with the weather here in Dublin at the moment I might just stay home!

I'm going as far as Ourgate, in Backyard.

Not got the money to go anywhere, not even to see my family in the Netherlands.

All donations gratefully received.

Only two days for us next weekend but I'll be going again in August...oh, & Taunton too. Then hopefully, Calvisano or Paris or Bayonne for a long weekend sometime in the winter depending on the fixtures.

5 days in a caravan in the south lakes, week after next, with a quick trip back home in the middle of it for my son to attend his prom! So wish I was off to Roda in Corfu but cash flow is restricted this year.

Yay! I win this one(maybe). I've already had my holiday for this year(first in six years, in fact) and that was to Fort William, with my mum, for 3 days, one of which was spent going to my uncles grave.

Wish I had money and a passport :(

I'm going to visit Milton Keynes for a couple of days
although I'm not sure if I should bring my speedos or not if the weather is nice!

Other than that I've been to Spain already this year but hope to go again at some point

My friend's rundown house on the edge of a cliff in the wilds of Scotland. Hope she has hot water by the time I visit :-)

Camping?

Insects, damp, mud, The Other. I can't think of anything I'd like to do less. Give me a 5 star hotel with gold plated taps, a 1,600 spring matress on a queen-size 4 poster bed, 24 hour room service and a balcony overlooking the beach.

I'm fantasising again. I'm going to Devon for a week and then Amsterdam later on in the year.

I'm living near to Milton Keynes so I expect an invite in my inbox from all going there!

As for Holidays for me this year it's Egypt, Thailand and of course Surf fest 2009 in Newquay! My winter holiday will probably be spent in some tacky villa in the Costa Del Sol.

Costa Del Tyneside for the sunny weather, beaches and crystal blue sea

Free entertainment starts next month too Sunderland Airshow over 2 days ( free ) and free concerts on the seafront in South Shields start off with Toyah ... did I mention they were free ahhh the benefits of living in a seaside town.
