Posted: 6/25/2009 4:07:13 AM | A day ride is being planned for the 12th of July...Yatala to Chillingham NSW VIA Nerang
Route is as follows;
Meeting point at Yatala Roadhouse 9am, depart 9.45
Yatala to Nerang, take Nerang
Broadbeach Rd then right onto Ferry Connection Rd
through to Beaudesert - Nerang Rd,
follow Beaudesert - Nerang Rd through to Nerang - Murwiillumba Rd
then head to Advancetown for first stop...( regroup)
Depart Advancetown
staying on Nerang - Murwillumba Rd travel through to Numinbah Valley
then onto Natural Bridge through to Chillingham NSW ( LUNCH )
Depart Chillingham and take Murwillumba Rd back through
to Tweed Heads - Gold Coast then home...
Approx 200 km round Trip

Dear Sir the event organised is unintentional as to the other event on that day
it is an oversite on my behalf but the 12th July is the day I am not looking after my children ( seperated ) and thought it would be an alternative ride for POF members
that may want somewhere different to go to.
Sorry if I`m treading on anyones toes

And this is exactly one of the reasons why i've never been on any yet - "without the roads being a racetrack " .

and who cares if there is 2 events on the same day???
If someone else has a dinner on the same night as the one i organised , im not bothered , its no loss , people can make their own choices as to what they want to do and where they want to go.. im sure on july 12th there is a squillion events happening all over the world... maybe another ride/s on another site/s. Its personal choice

First up , good on you Cher and Glen to put a ride together , about time somebody else does one , excelent. as for the other smarties , why don't you come to a ride first (either ride) before you pass judgement on any of us. Different people , different bikes , different styles of riding , different ideas of a fun day out , so who's to say whats right or wrong????? And as far as "Racetrack" and so on.... , yes occasionally every rider(almost every) breaks the law in one form or another , but by the end of the day we all have the same goal : have a great day with good people and all come home save and sound.
So I hope everybody has a great day on bikes or whatever else and if this ride would have been on a different day some of us would have joined you guys on your ride , well more luck next time. Stay upright and ride save

I have travelled this route on several occasions and it offers some fantastic scenery
and breathtaking views.

I should be able to make it. I will more than likely be on my own, but I have a spare helmet if someone is looking for a ride as pillion. I don't own a Harley, I ride jap crap, but I like it and have done many rides in the past, both solo and two up. It will be nice to meet some new people and it should definitely be a good one, so long as the weather is nice to us.
My last good ride was up through Gatton and across to Clifton, overnighted at Warwick, then came back via Queen Mary Falls, Killarney, across Freestone, over Cunninghams Gap and down via Moogerah Dam, Beaudesert, Boonah and back home. Be nice to do it again.
Anyway, see you on the day.

Was going to extend the ride by leaving early but I can do a long ride on saturday now so I'll be there to enjoy the scenery. Also am willing to act as TEC if you would like. As long as I know where we are going..lol.
