| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 7:43:03 PM | Goodbye Michael Jackson....you will be missed by not only the millions of your fans across the World, but also by the many of your fellow Musicians and Entertainers that admired you. You have inspired us all to go that extra mile to entertain and amaze, when we walk out on that stage! Your choreography had 50 dancers moving extremely intricate dance routines in perfect harmony...while the guys in my band just try to keep from running into each other. You made the music "yours"! By doing so, you taught the rest of us to avoid copying the record note for note...and to each put some of "Me" into each and every song that we perform. You did it "Your Way" and wasn't about to let anyone tell you any dam*ed different. You had a vision - You stood by it...And I think we can all safely say, it definitely Worked For You! Though I've never been into Pop music, I still loved everything that you ever touched. You lifted...you brought energy...you amazed...you ruled and you rocked! Are you sure that wasn't Rock music instead of Pop? Thank you for helping us to realize that it's not just a matter of how good we sing or play our instrument...it's how well we "move" the audience. We felt your joys...as we also felt your pain. You are loved by some of the most popular entertainers in the World...but also by some of the best biker bar musicians you would have ever wanted to jam with !
Rock In Peace, Michael | |

that is a very thoughtful, sincere farewell to michael jackson. obviously you respected him as a singer/entertainer.
i wish him peace in his afterlife also, however, i must admit that i think he probably created some hell on earth for more than one child. i honestly view his death as the absence of one more pedophile on the planet. my appreciation, and i did appreciate his talents at one time, has all been over shadowed by this.
it will be interesting to see what is uncovered during the aftermath of his death.

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 8:11:46 PM | | You know? I will always respect the artist that Michael was. I grew up with his tunes, and loved every minute of it. The pedophile thing? Heck, who really knows. I choose to look at the brilliant artist he was, as I cannot make a conclusive statement on the rest of his life. And we lost another great. Farrah Fawcett. I truly wished she would win her well fought battle. Alas, not to be done...Jaysus, makes my existence even more precious at my age. | |

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 8:37:28 PM | ...I agee moonie. We will never know who really Michael Jackson was. We do know that he indeed was a brilliant artist and humanitarian. I don't know quite what else to say about the man, only that he was one sad mixed up individual.

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 9:08:27 PM | | I just find it weird that 2 of the biggest space cadets in entertainment died on the same day - Farrah Fawcett and MJ. Don't get me wrong, I admire the talent that it took to get them where they got, but man, they were odd off stage/screen. Farrah was spun for years and Michael? I liked him better when he was black and had a nose. Strange that Liz Taylor outlived him - she's still alive right? | |

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 9:17:20 PM | I'm with the others - who really knows the truth? But one thing we know with certainty - Michael Jackson was a musical genius. I remember when the Thriller video was shown on TV - the first of the music videos. My best friend Leo and I left a party to rush back to watch it. It was so exciting... | |

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 9:33:13 PM | I was in a group at one time that asked us to consider what one question we would ask if we could ask it of anyone living or dead. I decided that I would like to ask Elvis what it would have taken for him to FEEL so loved that he began to value and take care of himself.
I would ask Michael the same question... I think he was what many call the eccentric genius but unfortunately, his eccentricities appeared to have victims. I respect his genius and find it saddening that he appeared to be so very tortured inside.
Thanks for rockin' us Michael... May you find your peace now...

Some fantastic songs ....
Died too young .....
PERVERT

I don't want anyone to die but ...... I liked Michael Jackson much better as a person - when he was a little kid.
I'll be there ........................

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 10:13:13 PM | Yes, I also enjoyed MJ's music, but my enjoyment decreased as his excentricies (sp?)increased.
No, we can't know all the facts about his life, but I agree with Dennis Miller who said, and I paraphase, "Whether he's a pedophile or not, any 45 year old man that shares his bed with kids that aren't his...has some kind of problem."
Maybe it's just me, but perhaps his passing at such a young age is.....karma. I don't know.
But I do hope there is some kind of peace for him now.
Farah?
Over time she proved, to my surprise, that she wasn't just a blonde bombshell. I'm proud to call her a fellow Texan! RIP.
Two in one day? They say these things come in threes.
Let's hope not.

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 11:08:03 PM | OKAY misteromaha! We get it, you don't like Micheal Jackson and you're not funny. We get it! People, check his history and report him. I did! My feelings about Micheal went back and forth over the past 40yrs or so. Loved the J5 when I was a child. At the time, I didn't think he would make it as a solo act. Boy, I guess I was a little off on that one. I've never been what I would call a fan but still love allot of his music. He was phenominaly talented, and yes just a bit differant. About the child molestation charges, it was pretty much proven that it didn't happen. What we saw was a man that was never really allowed to be a child. In many ways that made him child like, and as such he couldn't understand the outrage towards him. In the end, he had some underpriviledged kids over for sleep over parties, and instead of merely hosting the events he actually participated and played with the kids. I played with my kids and still do with my grandkids. I don't just watch them play I play with them. I have slept with my kids and with my grandkids, doesn't make me a pervert. One thing is for sure, he will be missed by his fans and haters alike. Like Elvis before him he will be immitated but can never be replaced. | |

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/25/2009 11:31:38 PM | I don't know if Jackson was a pedophile or not. I wasn't in the room. I am content to leave judgment to The Judge.
Beyond that, my condolences and sympathies go out to the fans, friends and family who are feeling the pain of this loss.

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/26/2009 2:57:01 AM | Just turning 50 myself. I feel like I grew up with him. Loving to dance, his music was always playing at home or in some dance club.
We lost two icons in one day.....So Sad. There will be a media and legal circus for quite some time as far as MJ is concerned. I feel for his children and will enjoy his music for years to come.

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/26/2009 3:32:37 AM | And everyone knows the movie will be right behind this. They are probably casting now. Get ready for an onslaught of "shocking"revelations. I don't have anything against his eccentricities.....I have my own. Marrying Presley, destroying his face (he was tough to look at), the flu masks he wore everywhere and the monkey he took everywhere did not make him a bad person. What an incredible music career. What a performer. But three things bothered me more. 1) It bothered me that he dangled his baby over that balcony. 2) It bothered me that he bought the bones of the Elephant Man. 3) And, of course, the molestation charges. Yes, he was acquitted. So was O.J. and so was Robert Blake. These things should not be overlooked because of music, football or a Baretta TV show. | |

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/26/2009 4:13:38 AM | Rocker that was a good sendoff. I too play guitars, drums, etc and have been for 41 years. I respected and enjoyed Michael the entertainer, the music hit the right spot at the moment and continues today. I was a Paramedic for 30 years and was a union medic for about 12 or so, as a Medic i was the one behind the stage when Michaerl rocked dallas. Got to see and meet him up close along with a couple of his brothers that came along for that world tour. Michael Is and always will be a legend for the rock and roll groups along with the likes of Elvis Presley and others that have crossed our paths along the way of our journey to where we will end up being one day. I have performed on the smaller stages of texas jamming with my friends along the way and even though they called it a show, i always called it jamming the nite away.;) The world will remember Michael.

2) It bothered me that he bought the bones of the Elephant Man.
he didn't. though he did try to.
MJ was a great musician and dancer. he was the ultimate video artist and is responsible for making music video what it is today.
i still have my vinyl copy of Thriller. it was a xmas gift in 1983. and 2 days after xmas, while everyone in the house was out at the sales in a blinding snowstorm, i decided i'd try some MJ dance moves - on carpeting!
bad idea!
i snapped my left foot.
fortunately, my uncle came by about 10 minutes later and took me to the hospital where i waited for hours because of the dozens of people being brought in due to the bad weather. a broken foot was nothing up against car accident victims and people with heart attacks from shovelling snow.
didn't stop me from dancing!
whatever awaits us on the other side, i hope that Michael Jackson finds peace.

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/26/2009 5:18:49 AM | Never a Michael Jackson fan. If I liked him at all, it was before all the charges about him came out, he had a nose and hadn't had his skin color artificially changed. Never cared for his music and his antics - dangling his baby over a balcony; way to go - and other activities turned my stomach.
I agree with the poster who said music, football and a tv show shouldn't overshadow the crimes done by a famous person.
Will Michael find peace on the other side? Who knows.

That about sums up my feeling too. I think Michael Jackson just marched to a different drum. In many ways his whole life was pretty sad. I was watching the news last night and she sure had a tremendous fan base. He will be missed by millions.

| Goodbye Michael Jackson.................. Posted: 6/26/2009 6:17:57 AM | | R.I.P. MJ! I don't care about your infamy! I respect your legacy! When it comes to artist it's about time that society respects an individuals work and creative genius over their personal life! We put talent on such a pedestal only to knock them off and forget what attracted us to them in the first place! MJ, you helped me appreciate pop music! Peace! | |
