in theory it sounds like a liberated thing to do, but not in this day and age when theres too many perverts about who would exploit the situation.
And considering most people these days have lard asses ..apart from me being firm i for one don't want to see naked fat asses wobbling down the street, especially infront of me...what if one farts, could be a case of gone with the wind..

I'm not at all bothered by others' nudity but I confess to not wanting my daughter being exposed to nudity without prior warning... Just because polite society dictates that she should be 'protected' from the adult human physique..
I walk around my house naked, I do cover up in front of my son now he is 15 but that is out of respect for him rather than any embarrassment on my part... I would be perfectly comfortable on a nudist beach and I have no qualms about seeing other adults nude...
I really struggle with parents who let their little tiny tots wander around public beaches nude... I really cannot get my head around the idiocy of exposing their children to potential nutters in such a blasé manner... Maybe I'm missing something?? Are beaches automatically nutter free places??
There's this guy who campaign for nudity in public to become accepted, he cycles around stark naked through cities and whatnot... I'm not sure what to make of him.. A genuine campaigner? Or just a perv who enjoys flashing his whang at every opportunity... | |

Posted: 6/28/2009 3:45:22 AM | Well as a family we've always been quite liberal about wandering around the home without scarcely or no clothes on and I'd no reason to change when I was on my own with my son until he went through a feeling awkard about it stage in his early teens when I covered up to protect his own modesty, although I recall I went through a stage of feeling awkward too. I'd like to think that as a consequence, my son doesn't have any major hang ups about getting his kit off and feels comfortable with his own body too. Perhaps if naturism were normalised where people had the choice to go out with or without clothing then society may start to change its view on how perfect we should all look without any clothes on (i.e thinking page 3 of the Sun)
as I believe that society would finally start to accept that people come in different shapes and sizes and our imaginations wouldn't have to run riot any more. Of course it could be argued that taking away what's left to the imagination is taking away the elusive and tantalising mystery of what lurks underneath one's clothing but in the long run by taking away the temptation to dress something up differently from what is 'real' can only be a good thing IMO.
It could be argued that you would attract more perverts or sex molesters. I'm not so sure about that and in fact I'd say it might discourage them as their needs might not be so insatiable if seeing naked kids were the norm but I think that point is debatable. | |

People worried about their daughters seeing naked bodies ? Lol... how frightening and damaging that must be to people. Likewise for apparently trying to protect teenagers from embarrassment etc... once it is normal where is the embarrassment we should worry about ?
People worried about "perverts" and "sex molestors".. the perverts would get laughed at etc once it was established norm to see some naked people on the streets. What stops a pervert being a pervert whether you have clothes on or not ? Molestors would get arrested the same as they do now... | |

Posted: 11/9/2009 8:10:49 AM | My friend took part in the art podium thing in london the other week and did it naked, the artist got clearance from the mayor for someone to do it and when someone complained and asked the police to remove him they were informed that as long as they didn't touch themselves they were perfectly ok to be there naked.
But surely if someonewalked down the street startkers they would be done for indecent exposure? or is it just if they touch themselves?
I wouldn't feel comfortable with seeing someone naked in public, but thats only because its not the norm and we are conditioned from a young age that the naked form is a private thing.
