Posted: 6/28/2009 3:21:42 PM | I've been seeing this lady on and off for a few months now, anyway last night I stayed over at hers and after going to bed at about 12ish, we were both fast asleep when we hear this loud 'Slam' sound in the room. It made her jump a bit and as we couldn't see and are both so tired we just kind of ignored it.
So, I wake up at about 6 ish & there is and there is a book by the bed which has leaped by itself, to about 7 feet from the bookcase to my side of the bed.
I asked her where it usually lay on the bookcase and she told me its the second from top book under that pile, and at this point I'm now thinking ''How the Feck did that happen then.?"
On its way down to the bed it has not displaced anything else..
I think there is a ghost or something in her house & it only seems to happen when I'm around..
It creeps me out.  | |

Posted: 6/28/2009 3:34:38 PM | I was sitting in her house about 2 weeks ago and a silver tea tray threw itself to the floor for no reason.
and before we went to bed last night I had been helping her build this flatpack cupboard, her cat had been playing in the box earlier & I said "Oh look 'cat' is in the box again" as the box was wobbling about.
I then looked in the box and there was no cat inside it, in fact the cat had gone to her sons room where it sleeps at night.
These things sound little to those aren't there I understand, but its eerie.. | |

Posted: 6/28/2009 3:42:59 PM | I wouldn't be suprised.. I'm a bit of a cynic, but went on one of those vigil thingies to see what if anything happened, rather suspecting it would be a set-up. It was where I worked at the time, in a craft centre which had been converted into many seperate units for different businesses. A sane and sensible guy who ran a small company fixing musical instruments mentioned to my friend who ran it all that things (like a bottle of washing up liquid) had flown across the room in front of him, and some instruments hovvered in mid-air inches from the floor, which freaked him out. She then remembered someone from a completely seperate business had the unit previously and reported similar 'goings-on'. What we'd term 'poltergeist activity'. So, she asked someone to come and check it all out.
Well, having met the most unlikely psychic investigators at midnight in the cobblestoned courtyard, we set up the equipment and we had a very disturbed night. All sorts of things went on, and the digital cameras picked up lots of random bubble like orbs of light, in different places with different equipment, at the same time as we noted a drop in temperature, or heard a knock or bang which made us jump. I heard footsteps approaching me across the courtyard at one point, which stopped right in front of me!
I drew no conclusions about the cause of these different phenomenon, but it was a fascinating evening - that's the abridged version by the way - and I can verify for a fact it wasn't someone messing about, or deliberately causing the things we heard, felt or saw.
So, maybe her ex is sending out vibes, or maybe she herself is doing it unconsciously... woooo hoooo!!!!  | |

Posted: 6/28/2009 3:43:20 PM | | the loud slam was probably outside but being tired it sounded closer as for the book you found it in the morning so could have been moved some other time unless you actually saw it fly across the room . The silver tea tray was probably left unbalanced and the moving box was probably moving due to vibration as you were working in that room. I have weird stuff happen in my house and weird noises but its all explainable. | |

On the other hand maybe you are unwittingly acting as a channel for this spirit to show itself.....some people are just "open" like that....mind you I think you would have noticed weird goings on in other places if this was the case... | |

Etc etc. Did you have cheese for supper?  well my webcam is so blurry that the ghoulies could easily be mistaken for something else. Like spirits or something along those lines. Obviously only when i am in drink. | |
