| Why do I attract all of the crazies?

That said, I'm wondering if what my profile says about me gives women the idea that I'm interested only in those that possess serious mental incompetencies, such as the inability to type without using text-speak. To wit: " I M looking 4 some 1 2 spoil me, do U have a hott car?" I also get a ton of women who will talk my ear off, agree to go on a date, then disappear mysteriously. Please give me some honest feedback. Do I come off as a nutter myself? | |

Posted: 6/28/2009 7:12:11 PM | No idea really. Your profile, to me, seems something which should attract any girl that doesn't want to get bored. But still, there's something about the display pic that might not attract a 'regular' girl, it does have some sort of a playa look.
I'm not too sure about this one:
1. Do something illegal. Nothin quite as much fun as breakin' the law.
This would probably be attractive to either adventurous girls or the crazies. | |

Posted: 6/28/2009 8:19:23 PM | two nitpicks: take out the line about being wary, because that will make a lot of noncrazy women wary of you. also, the line about breaking the law could be problematic - i know you're being wittily facetious, but most people reading your profile won't. the written nonliteralness gene is a rare thing. then again, maybe those are the people you want to filter out. if so, keep it.

Your profile is very nearly perfect.
I would add a photo of you with a smile to round it out.
Now get busy and paper the women with well written carefully tailored to each PERSON whose profile promises an intellectual fit. Seek the quirky ones. The normal profiles will drive you to boredom. Women in POF of your age group do not spend much time browsing for a match, they spend a lot of time deleting lame mail.
You have to be proactive. Your cheese is great, now get out the email machine and do it the same way.
Write in your own great 'voice' and if she doesn't respond - good. One more caught in the filter of uncommon sense. | |
