Please note, I searched the FAQ and searched related threads and couldn't find what I was looking for.

Awkward question and I'm a bit embarrassed and I hope the person in question takes it as a compliment.

Recently I was viewing profiles and for a split second I lost control and added a woman to my favourites list. Her profile has Intimate Encounter. I have not emailed her.

Does adding a profile to your favorites list count as a "contact" and therefore blocking the profile from contacting other users with the intimate encounter block as part of their email settings?

(FYI: While our profiles were very similar I would love her to contact me and meet her face to face, I shortly after realised I'm not the type of guy she's looking for and subsequently deleted her from my favourite list.)

Thanks for understanding!

Not sure where you searched in the FAQ's. I didn't link this time I am just going to quote for ya but this is from the FAQ's.

Your profile will be flagged, if you REPEATEDLY send FIRST CONTACT emails to members who are SEEKING AN INTIMATE ENCOUNTER in their profile. The key is "repeatedly", not once or twice, but a definite pattern of contacting members first, who are looking for an Intimate Encounter

I know that this is what the rules states, but it isn't accurate. I got an e-mail from a lady telling me hello. I responded back with a hello. It was only later that I noticed that she was "looking for an intimate encounter". Since then I have not been able to contact any users who have this setting on the e-mail. I sent an e-mail to the Administration, and have never received a reply back. It is ok, because I do not e-mail a lot of people as a first contact, but I hate being flagged.

There does seem that there may have been a glitch with the IE filter not too long ago ...but when it is working normally, the above statement is correct. I've had lengthy chats with men that have contacted me and they were IEs and I have NEVER been flagged.

Being Flagged For Adding Intimate Encounter Seekers to Favorites
Posted: 6/29/2009 4:18:43 PM
Does adding a profile to your Favorites list count as a "contact" and therefore blocking the profile from contacting other users with the Intimate Encounter block as part of their email settings?

An excellent question. The use of Favorites could be a way to initiate communications with those who are seeking an Intimate Encounter and not get flagged for doing so. Those who would do this would be hoping the person they added to their Favorites would message them.

As for the answer to the question, I honestly don't know. However, I'm sure there is at least one person who does.
