| | Fellow world travelers? Where have you been, and where do you want to go? Page 1 of 4 (1, 2, 3, 4) | So who else has been infected with the travel bug?? Thanks to my dad who took my family to live in Kenya when I was younger, I have been obsessed with traveling and experiencing new cultures ever since.
Anyways, where all have you been and where do you plan on going to next?
I have been to: Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, London, Paris, Kenya, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Namibia, South Africa, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong/China, & Japan.
As for my next trip, I plan on visiting my cousins in Switzerland and then backpacking Europe for a month or so next summer. Can't wait! | |

Posted: 6/30/2009 12:13:25 AM | I suffer from wanderlust. Haven't been much out of the U.S. Seen most of the east coast, Washington state, Canada, The Bahamas, Guyana...that's about it. Time and money are the main issues. Was supposed to go to England for my 16th birthday but things fell through(School being the main reason). Was hoping to go to Thailand in August but plans fell through there as well. I was also thinking about Brazil but as of right now, I don't think I'll be going anywhere for a while. I'm hoping to devote 2010 to do some serious traveling. I'd like to concentrate on Southeast Asia, maybe take a trip to Spain as well.
I haven't had much luck finding somebody to travel with either. Everyone's too busy or something. Kinda hard finding somebody in my age group too...most people in my family are either too old or too young. | |

Have been to Ireland, Wales, France, Spain, Belgium, Kenya, Florida, Minnieapolis, Phoenix, Israel & Egypt.
Would love to go to New York and Australia. | |

I've been to Canada, the US, Ireland, N. Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, San Marino, Vatican City, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Morocco, Gran Canaria, The Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Burkina-Faso, Ghana, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, China ... and probably a few more places the Century Club would call countries, but which I've forgotten about.
Next on the list to visit: Antarctica (yes, really). I might fit in some place smaller and closer first, though, for a short holiday.
P.S. Yes - forgot Corfu, Thrace, Rhodos, Western Sahara, Sumatra, Bali, Hainan and probably a few more still | |

Posted: 7/3/2009 7:38:56 AM | Outside of the U.S, I've been to England, France, Germany, Belgium, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands, and Mexico. The first three countries I definetly would return to.
I also want to visit some of the Eastern European nations, like Poland and Hungary, and also travel to Russia. In addition, I'd like to see some of the moderate Islamic nations, like Egypt, Jordan, and the U.A.E. | |

France, Spain, Sweden, Holland, Brazil, Thailand, North Africa, America (Las Vegas, San Francisco, Miami Beach / Florida Key West)...may be more but that's all I can think of offhand...
Has anyone been to the St.Peterburg / Russia end of the world as was thinking of going there next?? | |

I've been in Perito Moreno Glaciar , in the Iguazu fallsin Argentina, in Boliva, in Perú (Machu pichu, the forest in Puerto Maldonado,The ruins of "El Señor de Sipan"), Venezuela ( The Angel's Fall and Coche Island)and Ecuador.
I have plans to visit England and France, but that's not going to be soon unfortunately

Posted: 7/4/2009 5:37:05 PM | Being an American I have been to most of the states including Alaska and Hawaii. I have also been to Canada and Mexico our bordering neighbors. Then I have been to several of the caribbean Islands BVI, US VI, Montserrat, and a few others. In Asia I have been to Viet Nam compliments of Uncle Sam, Thailand, Philippines, Guam, Johnson Atoll, Korea, Japan, an China. In Europe I have been to England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France. In the Mid East I have been to Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, and Turkey. On the African continent I was in South Africa. In Central America I was in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala. I think that about it but I may have missed a few here and there.
I would like to go to South America and visit Chile , Peru and Ecuador in particular. I would also like to see New Zealand and Australia at least once ... a few more places in Africa and Asia are also in my future .
When I travel I like to go native and dont look for 5 star accomodations. I also try to eat the local food as best as I can and hate franchise foods although I do break down and go for them once in a great while.
I am amazed how vast a diverse this world is . The difference in the peoples and the culture. Its unfortunate that we can not travel to all the interesting location because of some of the native extremists living there.

spain,tunisia,turkey,ukraine,usa,wales and yugoslavia.
also been to corfu,ibiza and vancouver island plus was a few hundred yards from albania when visiting small islands off corfu
got off planes in austria and poland also as well as flying to northern ireland.
i am hoping to go to uae next. | |

I have been to philly, nyc, florida, chicago and montrealm st thomas, all over mexico, italy and the domenican
I want to see the rest of europe next and nowadays there are such great deals, all of those sites ytbtravel.com/mfratt, orbitz, expedia are running such deals all of you guys should really check them out ... now is the time to travel to all those places one wants to go to, love to see that I am not the only crazy girl lol. | |

Been to: Krakow (Poland), Prague (Czech Republic), Crete (Greece), Paris, Barcelona & Madrid (Spain), Hong Kong, New York, Boston, Austria, Bulgaria, Mexico, Brazil & Morocco.
Want to visit: Japan, New Zealand, Florida, Rome, Austrailia, Thailand, Budapest plus many more other places.
Looking at maybe going to Japan next July....guess I best start saving | |

Also other places for a short time (like Tehran).
Wanna go to: more South America, some of northern Africa, Egypt -- plus everywhere else in the world that I haven't seen, except possibly Branson, Missouri! | |

Places to visit ... so many ... definitely to Europe, Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Cambodia ... and to visit all of Canada and US.

Posted: 7/17/2009 3:28:40 PM | I've travelled to: USA (New England States, Florida and around the great lakes), Canada (from the Atlantic to the pacific and in all the provinces in between -- haven't been to Newfoundland & Labrador, PEI and the territories), the UK (England, Scotland and N. Irealnd), Eire, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, USSR (as it was known back then), Suomi/Finland, Denmark, Belgium, ....
Places I'd like to visit: Arizona, Montana, Newfoundland & Labrador, PEI, Vancouver Island and more of BC and Alberta, Ireland (north and Republic again), Black Forest region of Germany, Vienna....
But since becoming a parent, the world travelling is on the back-burner (possibly permanently) and I'm a local traveller now (I travel anywhere I can drive to!) | |

I think that the travel bug has been very generous with you.You've been very fortunate to visit all those countries. I love travelling but I don't always have the possibility.
I wonder why you haven't included Argentina .And I don't only mean Buenos Aires (which is the capital but very different from the rest of the country).Some nice places to vist here are :1)The Glacier Perito Moreno in the South and 2) the Iguazú Falls in the northeast among others.

I have loved every place I have been to; this includes Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Pakistan (All major cities), Wales (Northwest), England (London, Manchester), Edmonton, Calgary, USA (Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona).
Where I want to go:
1. Bay Of Fire, Tasmania . Clear Water, Great Weather, small cottages nestled into the corner of a small fishing town.
2. South Africa: Cape Town, Durban, Kruger National Park and Johannesburg.
3. South America: The Guianas
4. Ireland: The Islands off Ireland: Árainn Mhór, Beginish, Na Blascaodaí, Valentia, Achill.
For now I must dream... I can't wait to make it to all of these places!!!!!!!!!!! | |
