| How does a Mr. Average really "stand out"? Posted: 7/2/2009 3:24:15 PM | Hello all,
I just wondered if any of you have had (or are having) the same dilemna as myself, which is being recently single, having come out of a long-term relationship and now looking, but am struggling to create the ideal profile...?
I see countless profiles on here every time I visit and while I've no doubt most members are sincere and know what they want, they say the same kind of things. That's not always a bad thing of course - and we ARE mostly here for the same reason(s) - but it means that it's so much harder to stand out from the crowd.
Anyone care to share their thoughts?
Thanks! | |

Something you must fix right away is that you have Body Style: Prefer not to Say. You can get away with either Average or Athletic. You can't get away with "Prefer not to Say" if you have a muscle-man photo as your main, ya big silly!
A decent closeup smiling head/shoulders shot would work best as a main photo. Preferably something outdoors, big smile, not-too-distracting background.
I'd rather have seen more on your work and why you like it closer to the top. Why do you like the Engineering field? It reads very testosterone-friendly for the first 1/3 of the profile and I was thinking - "wow, he's looking for a guy to hang out with!"
Otherwise - interesting information. I suspect the lady that finds you will also be very fitness-minded and hopefully can keep up with you! Good luck.

Thanks for taking the time to offer your constructive comments.

I do wonder when you would find time for a girlfriend as between football, daily gym sessions, martial arts classes & competitions there doesn't seem to be much time left for your day job or studies.
You might consider making it clear there is space in there for the right somebody else.
Just a suggestion. | |

Thanks for the advice, but I'm far from unique in that I work F/T, study P/T and compete at a high level in my chosen sport. I thought it best to be 100% honest about my busy lifestyle, so that from day one there are no unrealistic expectations.
Thanks for the input, anyway.
