| Unnecessarily mean rejection? Posted: 7/2/2009 3:51:39 PM | What have been the meanest and most uncalled for rejections (on pof or real life) that you've received? I'll start with mine.
On pof I messaged a girl asking her if she tried bungee jumping (it was one of her interests).
She replies, "Yes I did, if you're feeling suicidal you should try it first before doing the real thing."
I replied, "too bad your bungee cord didn't break"

Unnecessarily mean rejection? "too bad your bungee cord didn't break" I don't think I can top yours. I'd call what you said the meanest and most uncalled for rejections.

I replied, "too bad your bungee cord didn't break" This is the type of thing that makes you wonder how the sexes can ever get together in the fist place.
"You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch"

You didn't get her comment.
You did the rejecting...and, like a man, were not subtle in it.

I replied, "too bad your bungee cord didn't break" Well that was totally uncalled for and mean.
Seems you have no sense of humor and walk around with your buttcheeks all clenched.
Ah, I see the OP has deleted his profile and left the pond.

| Unnecessarily mean rejection? Posted: 7/2/2009 7:31:34 PM | Yeah but what a great topic...
Mine was initially when we got together she told me I was the best sex she'd ever had, but at the end she said she hated the way I like to firetruck!

What have been the meanest and most uncalled for rejections (on pof or real life) that you've received? I am a widower and lost my wife in October of 2007. I heard some mean and nasty things which I will summarize here:
1) I had one woman say to me "isn't it too soon for you to be dating?". I told her that I would like some companionship and she further said to me, "if you are need a companion and lonely , why don't you get yourself a hooker". 2) I had one woman say to me "a widower is a big turnoff to her, and she would actually rather date a married man than go out with a widower. 3) I had more than one women question me about the love that I had for my late wife.
Honestly, it got me to the point where I was almost shell-shocked before I called someone new or answered a call from someone new. Thank Goodness I had many GREAT female friends help me deal with it. I now know how do deal with it and know how/when to just walk away quietly.

| Unnecessarily mean rejection? Posted: 7/3/2009 11:44:12 AM | But Greg, also consider that your status as a windower has gone far to screen out some truly shallow people. WIthout that, ,,, you might have ended up being stuck with one of them.
SO maybe it's not such a bad thing?

What have been the meanest and most uncalled for rejections (on pof or real life) that you've received? The meanest are the no responses, no shows. But I'm a big boy and can handle it.
In real life the meanest was when she flipped her hand over her eyes and said "Okay, done with you freak, you can leave now. Thank you very much." I gave her the 20 bucks anyway, pulled up my pants, and got off the bus. At least I was an adult about it.

| Unnecessarily mean rejection? Posted: 7/3/2009 5:51:16 PM | The forums need a Hall of Fame, and this needs to be first inductee. I did not stop laughing for at least half a minute. Tragic misinterpretation, but totally great! | |

I have to tell you, it was quite an "eye opener" going through what I went through. I honestly couldn't believe some women had it in them to be so insensitive. Thank goodness as you say, I didn't end up being stuck with any of them creepettes! Its their loss, certainly not mine.
