Megan Fox 'Says Some Very Ridiculous Things' by Us Magazine July 1, 2009 Megan Fox slammed "Transformers" director Michael Bay for focusing more on special effects than acting, but he doesn't mind.
"Well, that's Megan Fox for you," Bay tell the Wall Street Journal. "She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.
"You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it,'" he goes on.
Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."
Bay says he "100 percent disagrees" with Fox. "Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in 'Armageddon.' Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from 'Bad Boys'," he points out.
Bay thinks Fox could be a little more grateful, though. "Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers," he says. "I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/2/2009 11:12:01 PM | | Gotta agree with you there. So the movie isn't really a deep and thoughtful film, but so what? If it gets your name out there what does it really matter? I'd be more thankful to him for casting me than p*ssing on the fact that it's not a really meaningful movie. | |

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 12:05:48 AM | Although I'm siding with Bay (Fox, you're there for your hottness--be quiet and stay hot), he is taking way too much credit for those actors. I haven't seen the movie so I can't say anything about the acting but I do know Bay's movies usually do very poorly in the acting department. But he specializes in "blockbusters" and those usually aren't artistic masterpieces. Just a lot of booms and bangs and good looking girls.
Ben Affleck became big in Good Will Hunting (the year before Armaggedon came out)
Will Smith had his own show and rap career before Bad Boys
Nick Cage had won an Academy Award, and nominated for two Golden Globes before he starred in Michael Bay's The Rock in (1996)...and if you've seen The Rock it's nothing compared to Cage's other movies even with Sean Connery in a supporting role.
Martin Lawrence--He's about the only one that owes Bay his due for giving him an acting career although he had already begun a decent one before Bad Boys
So yes, Megan Fox owes her career to him (and so does Martin Lawrence) but the others were on their way to greatness already.

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 12:21:48 AM | i agree with u op. and i also agree with micheal bay. hes the one that made her a star. lets say 'star' cause she doesnt seem much of an actress to me. now i have to see her in other movies to judge more but still just having seen her in the 2 transformers flicks ya shes really hot looking.but what else does she have going for her??? if she wants to stay popular shes gonna have to develop a lot more than that.maybe develop more of a personality other than the hot looking bimbo type lol and work on her acting skills a lot more. bay is right she could be a little more gratefull. but what she said isnt all that wrong too.micheal bay movies focal attention are not on acting its more on visuals.thats not such a bad thing after all thats what makes micheal bay movies what they are.the visuals and the technical aspect. his movies are some of the most stylish and best edited and has the best camera work in them. | |

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 12:24:31 AM | I agree that Bay focuses on special effects, however, if your parents buy you a Ferrari for your birthday (and Bay did a lot more than that for the debutant Fox, when you look at earnings potential that he created FOR HER), do you point out that your father's bald spot has grown larger as he bends down to check the tire-pressure before you take her out for your first spin?
I thought not.
Fox never did it for me, and now she disgusts me even more.

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 5:59:42 AM | | Although it's not exactly politick to say it, she's right. I mean, c'mon, who's kidding who. We're not talking Gone With the Wind here. I don't see an Academy Award coming for this one in the Best Actor or Best Movie categories. And how egotistical does Bay have to be to try and take credit for so many other actors careers? Get over yourself, Bay. | |

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 7:11:12 AM | And here I was going to go see the Transformer's movie cause I heard Megan Fox was the new Meryl Streep.
I am glad she gave me the heads up on that movie.
Now I won't waste my 10 bucks.

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 9:06:03 AM | Well I finally got to see this "Megan Fox" on David Letterman the other night and after so much hype about this girl I was curious.
Boy did she make herself look really boring and unintelligent. And for the record - she is not the hottest thing in town! There are much better looking girls/women in movies right now.
I predict she'll last another 5 minutes....................

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 9:38:53 AM | I have no desire to ever see this movie. And after hearing some reviews, what this flavour of the month said, was probably 100% true. But in one interview, she basically destroyed her carreer.
In most big hollywood contracts is a stipulation to promote the film. This is why actors are always on talkshows when their movies come out. They don't want to be on all these shows, but because of their contracts, they must promote the film.
After her behaviour, why would any director ever hire her again. She's like a car salesman who tells customers, "Oh, our cars are crap, why not try the dealership down the street". ___________________________________________________________ And who does Micheal Bay think he is. None of the people he named, were made by his movies. As other posters have pointed out.

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 11:34:56 AM | Who cares what she has to say! Megan Fox is nice to look at which is why she's got the job. She's hot as hell and can say whatever she wants in my opinion.
Maybe this is why I'm not very popular with the ladies, but I don't care what a girl looks like if she is being a ****. It's the attractive ones that I am actually LESS likely to talk to for this very reason. They have some sense of "entitlement" or other nonsense most of the time it seems.
ETA: I have seen hotter women that have resorted to on-line dating right here than this Megan Fox.

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 11:53:44 AM | | My question is what took Megan Fox this long to realize this that movie was mainly about animated autobots? You would think she would have realized this even before the first installment. I guess she didn’t bother to look over either of the scripts from both the first and second installments. I mean, it just goes to show you that you don't have to be intelligent to be an actor. | |

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 7:15:01 PM | | lol, I think that magazine made a mountain out of a mole hill. That wasn't a slam against Bay, that was just the truth. I saw the movie and enjoyed the 2 1/2 hours I spent there - it's a fun movie, but it's definitely not long on acting. Neither was the first movie. Bay knows it, Bay counts on it. *shrug* | |

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 7:34:33 PM | | bay cant make a movie that requires acting...he doesnt have that kinda talent, hes not spielberg or lucas, just a hac with a mac and attitude from hollywood. i give fox some credit shes hot yes however i feel she can do helluva alot better than liv tyler and look at her roles...fox vs tyler im goin huntin. | |

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 7/3/2009 7:52:20 PM | Bay should have said: If I need a hot chick who can act, I would've cast Hayden Panitierre(sp). The girl from Heroes.
Megan Fox hasn't done nothing in Hollywood. In her own admission she knows she hasn't been in a real acting role yet. She's naive to speak ill of any director. She might have committed Hollywood, political suicide.
Hmmm, I wonder if she will cast for Tranformers 3.

| Megan Fox Says Some Very Ridiculous Things About Transformers The Movie Posted: 10/3/2009 12:39:31 AM | I'm a big TF fan but even I'll admit the movies aren't as deep and meaningful as I would have liked. Either way she has always seemed to be very tactless in the way she blabbers her opinions while making an attempt to sound intelligent.
To be fair they are bad films and if part of it is her feeling a bit crappy that she was only used for Sexploitation I'll give her that.
It's just that she could have waited a few years before giving these opinions and show a little bit of tact. She comes off as a real stuck up **** in my opinion and I wouldn't give her the time of day if I was forced too.
While Bay is somewhat hyping himself he is somewhat right that he made Megan Fox. She's pretty much insulting her meal ticket foolishly. If it was another business she would have been dropped by now. I'm kind of glad Bays' taking her back for part 3 to a degree though.
It's a good punishment in a way because it makes her look stupid and maybe instead of teaching her she can say anything she wants. It might embarras her enough to start thinking about what she says. Plus after TF3 whose to say she will get any other work. Especially considering Jennifers body isn't that good either. I'm kind of hoping they reboot Transformers after part three and start from the beginning with a new director that can give us a more compelling story. I like Transformers more for the personalities of the characters, the rivalries, the political tension between the two factions. More than big explosions and boobs. Transformers isn't even interesting to me because of the big robots. It's the personalities and the backstory of said robots that keeps me interested. So in that sense the movie is a mixed bag I feel it lacks something that the comics and some of the better cartoons have. It's enjoyable but I still think it's lacking in the personality that made the franchise popular to begin with.
Anyways, if she wants to come off as sharp, witty, and capable of speaking her own mind she's definately not doing it right.
