I see many people comment about "those crazy conspiracy theorists". I too, used to feel that way until about three years ago when several things caused me to change my mind. Yet, I stll find myself thinking some of this can't be true, only torealize it is after studying the issue (whatever issue that may be).
Recently I heard about the army gearing up for the establishment of civilian inmate labor camps. I thought this impossible in this country, but alas, this too turns out to be all too real. For those of you who are, like myself, willing to go the extra mile and do their own research, look up AR 210-35. (ARmy Regulation 210-35).
As a military minded man, and army vet, I know the army doesn't do something just for craps and grins. Having this regulation established tells me that we will see this coming to a neighborhood near you soon. Some may argue that this is for civilians in other countries, but that can't be, as the army considers those people "indigenous personnel". Americans are the civilians they reference, and Americans are indeed the civilians targeted.
I ask all of you not to simply dismiss something this absurd out of hand. Research the facts (not someone elses opinion of them). The documents usually exist and the net helps us find them. Your freedom and your childrens freedom are in serious peril, so get off the couch and away from the TV before its too late.

Why? So far upon reading, it reads like a standard policy for a relationship between DOC and the U.S. Army to have inmates doing labour on military property. You know, like digging ditches, cleaning up garbage, all the things you see inmates doing in other places around the U.S. and Canada?

It looked pretty innocuous in Germany too until it was too late to do anything but have a war. I've been in law enforcement and worked at state prisons, and I'm not alright with this. It is a harbinger of things to come. The United States military has absolutely no business in law enforcement or criminal justice issues with the civilian population, let alone running forced labor camps.
I appreciate you taking time to read some of the reg though stargazer, at least thats a start. Now ask yourself why is it neccessary. If you can still rationalize it, then I'll probably meet you in one of em one of these days.

Are you kidding? We're talking bureaucracy. If they thought it was necessary, they would have a regulation for going to the bathroom. This is just a regulation for having civilians convicted of a crime and serving time going to work on army basis and how that agreement is supposed to work.

Did you notice that they actually have people who are prohibited from being in the program...people convicted of child molestation, high escape risk, organized crime figures, people convicted of dealing drugs.

If you're inclined to see Big Brother under your bed, then you can read the ingredients of your cereal box as a manifesto. It's paranoia. Nothing more.

aleon, I assume you are aware of Rex 84? It's really just waiting for the right timing (timing is everything if one was to proceed with the next phase of globalization or world government)... another terror attack, a great depression, food shortages, a pandemic, Mexican border crossers, or a combo of the above. If the people become desperate enough they will demand martial law to restore order from the chaos. UN troops, like Chinese for example will have no problem rounding people up while American troops would be conflicted. There are a lot of concerns and talking points about what may happen if Rex 84 goes live.

In the instance that a part of american revolt, where are we going to house them...this is the armys plan, that in time of civil strife, how and where civilian combatants are housed.

if some group gains power an tries to disrupt the govenment...do we just tell them to go home. If a person/ group takes arms against our lawful government, are we just to watch?

Legal / Constitutional forms of protest, redress of grevience, or civil unrest are not considered treason.

There are facilities bulit and plans to build more by KBR.

Who says the government is completely lawful considering the working around of civil liberties going on (Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act of 2006), not just in America. It has been said that one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist, :)

There is absolutely nothing to see here. Everything is just fine. We have everything under control so that none of you have to think ever again.

a civilian inmate labor camp shocks you?

remember, when we were allowing president bush to do whatever he darn well pleased through the patriot act - we were allowing authroties to take any demonstrator to jail on felony charges-

and WHERE was the outrage

...

Where, indeed?... Yet in truth, there was plenty of it... From small hamlets to major cities across the country, intelligent Americans banned together to protest and demand answers to serious questions that still remain unanswered...

We just didn't see any of it because, following the debacle that was Vietnam, Ezzee & Company vowed never again to allow a free press to muddy up their agenda by giving any airtime to anti war sentiments or demonstrations...

"You're either with us; or with the terrorists" - King Little George

And "Live Free or Die"... That's on New Hampshire's license plates... How admirable....

The best the Mormon/Republican Coalition could come up with for our plates out here was "Famous Potatoes"...

Hmm...seems I remember "road crews" of inmates. (Check out 'Cool Hand Luke'!) Civilian work, yes...but why should the military not benefit some from this pool of labour?
Perhaps the murderers, drug dealers and those others who are "exempt" from this "work crew" could be used to clear the many mine fields in overseas countries.
What about bush fire crews? I seem to remember that they can take any able bodied male right from their own vehicles and put them on a fire-fighting crew. Used to be that way...may still be in some areas, unless they can show that they are urgently needed elsewheres.
Conscription has always been a mainstay of labour for the gov't or any of its' branches.

After the nazi's fell in WW2 there were war crime and investigations conducted. After bush left office and Obama took over I was expecting similar war crimes to be investigated but there was nothing.

What that tells me is, its not over yet. Everything is going full steam ahead with a different puppet in office.

Until about a year ago, I was like the rest of the sheep, assuming that if something important happened that I need to know about then I could trust our local newsstation to make sure I was informed. My eyes are being opened. I'm realizing that the media shows you what they want you to see and totally ignore the rest. There are alot of bills trying to be passed that you hear nothing about in the news. Gun control, civilian labor camps, people getting put on black lists for having certain bumper stickers. If government wants to do something, no matter how outrageous it is, they will do it and then spin it and you'll see the revised version on channel 4 showing regular Joe as a militant or terrorist , when he did nothing wrong. They can do anything they want. They have the power and we are just the little guy.I'm not a conspiracy nut, never have been, I've been following what's going on in congress and senate, I've been writing our governor and senators. Now is the time to force our eyes closed to the 4 hours a day of brainwashing from the tv set and do some honest information gathering.

I was under the impression that the camps have been under construction for quite some time. The inmates are supposed to be those who (the last I looked) are so-called American "Enemy Combatants".

Supposedly they are supposed to be allowed to pick up a person they believe to be an "enemy combatant" and jail them. Well, they have to have a special jail for them ... being that they're soooo dangerous. Technically, those of us who were objecting to the "Shrub" might have eventually qualified to be incarcerated.

You know, if one talks unkindly about the "Shrub", one could be considered "the enemy" ... eh?
