| Why do women have it easier than men?

Take my theory into account before you think I'm whining, because I'm seriously asking a question.
How many women on this website and other dating websites do you hear say, "I get at least four or five emails a week." I hear a lot of women on this website say that.
How many times do you hear men say on this website and other dating websites, "I never get any emails and I never get any responses to my emails."
Most guys are pretty simple in what they want. Most aren't too complex in their standards. Some want someone who's skinny. Some want someone who's athletically built. Some want a BBW. Some want someone who's a big drinker, some want someone who isn't. Some want a girl with kids. Some want a girl without kids.
Not real complicated, and 9/10 times when a girl is having trouble on this website, it's 1 out of 2 reasons. A, she is super dooper young with kids or B she's obese.
With men, it is complicated, because every guy everywhere has trouble. It isn't "fat guys" and "Guys with kids", no it's everyone. Rich guys, poor guys, single dad's, bachleors, fat guys, skinny guys, muscular guys, lazy guys, smart guys, stupid guys, nice guys, mean guys. Every guy has trouble.

Hmmm, let's see. Two to somewhere in the 100's, yeah seems about even to me too.
Honestly, as long as a girl isn't one of those two things, she can find someone decent to date, without a problem.
Guys on the other hand, not anywhere near as easy.
I have yet to meet a guy on this site, even if he is good looking, rich, no tie downs, who gets as many emails a week as a good looking woman.
Women just plain and simply have it easier than men when it comes to getting someone. | |

Do a thread search been done alot and this is all coming from a man that has a profile barely filled out and no pictures not even private images..
Could one of the answer to this question be that most of us women put more effort into the profile, contacts etc... Try it, it might work for you.
Also another note here I have several men friends on this site and yes they have all gotten dates off of this site. | |

What's garbage? To me garbage is when guys are emailing you for the distinct reasoning of getting laid, but that obviously isn't the case now is it?
if that is that case, then why are their a ton of good looking, very nice, very intelligent, well off guys who come on this board every day and complain about not having any luck with women?
I know tons of guys, who aren't lookign for just sex, who have a ton to offer a woman, and don't have any deal breakers about them that have no luck whatsoever.
Junk emails? I highly doubt most of them are. Sure, I'll give you that 2 out of the 6 sent a week might be jerks just looking for a piece, but the other 4 are genuine, sincere men who would like a good relationship.
I'm not whining by the way. Honestly I don't care anymore, but does it hurt to be curious?
Women are far more pickier than men.
Like I said, with men, don't be fat, don't have kids, that's 95% of us. We dont' care how tall you are, what you do for a living, how you respond to certain questions, what kind of a car you drive, the kind of people you hang out with, what your hobbies are, none of that stuff.
With women, they care about absolutely everything. Hell, you don't wear your hair the right way a woman can love everything else about you, but if she wanted a guy with a little longer hair and you decided to buzz it all off, out the door you go. | |

Yes, I am a little bitter, I won't lie about that. Not near as bitter as you probably think I am though.
I'm not drunk.
I don't have a problem with women with curves. I have a problem with seriously overweight fat people who are overweight because of their poor choices in eating, there refusal to eat healthier because of taste and there refusal to do things like lifting weights, running, playing sports, biking, swimming because they don't enjoy doing those things. Yet, they still complain about being fat and complain that people are too picky and superficial to date them.
People who are fat that work at it, and are fat because of nature and genetics, I have no problem with. Those people I like, those people I feel bad for. Those people I try and help. | |

Eggs don't chase sperms. I don't know what they are thinkng.
There are different gender roles in life. Even in the 2009 they still hold. It is socally acceptible for women to initiate contact and be proactive. There are men out there who are completely fine with this approach. But this is still less common.
If you think women have it easier with dating consider this:
- A guy ogling a beatiful woman - "normal". A woman staring at a handsome guy - "desperate nympho".

My friend Aurelian, had me set up this account for him because he thought internet dating would be good for him. So I set up the account for him and after 3 months of no luck he said he didn't want to do this anymore.
So, I tried to delete his account and couldn't figure out how to do it. I figured, I might as well use it.
So I have ever since.
He still post on here once in a while too, so sometimes it really is Aurelian posting and not me.
But sometimes it's me, and me has a girlfriend.

All girls answers are either unique or the same...just stating that.
(1) I dont think you are whining..i just think your question to this forum is too out there...common sense.
(2) You hear a lot of women say that? Well to be honest with you all the emails i get is either sugar daddies or playmates ects or smooth talkers. If you call that so awesome to get...then wow arent you interesting. Most of the message us women get isnt all fancy..romancyy..your the one. If the guy isnt in our interest level why reply back?(if the women was serious about this site)
(3) I think its equal with guys and girls. Its like if you say guys arent getting emails..their suspected to be ugly..and that all womens all stuck up and dont bother for a great personality.
(4) HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT MOST GUYS ARE?? you are only one guy. not two or three! Just ONE. You can not put opinions on "most guys" when you are just one guy.
(5) Well sorry for people at a young age get pregnant. Its the fact if they regreted their mistake. Most likely no, since the child is alive. You should already know our society today is seeing younger women get pregnant. Women have their own choices to make. SO basically you are saying young women with kids are dumb. WOW. Thats a good compliment and way to get someone interested. You never know what you may find in this world. You may actually find a girl with a kid or a more heavy weight woman interested.
* AND * what is your problem with obesity people? Did you know that its like a disease? And hard to overcome? YOU THINK that people who are over weight love being who they are? Please think before you think to highly of yourself and how lucky we are, when they're out there trying to fight this.

bearing children is incredibly difficult and painful. So we get a small break in this area, don't begrudge us this one thing.

- He assumes that many email = many successful outcomes. Ask anyone who plays Lotto how often you win by buying 10x as many tickets each week. More likely you only have 10x the frustration from NOT winning.
- He assumes a woman can just open her email and pick a winner from all the applicants. If a woman has 100 emails, and there is 1 perfect match in there, how is she to know? This is a problem the OP doesn't clue in about. It's like a shell game. No one can know what's there until you lift the shell. After lifting 20 or so shells, who would be eager about continuing...???
- He assumes a woman can achieve "happiness" in the same way a man can. In one respect OP is correct -- in general, men are not so picky and if they find a woman who will give them food and sex, they will be content rather quickly. BUT--- Give a woman shelter and sex and will she be content? Not likely -- women want more than that, and it takes a while to discern and achieve it. Finding the right guy is just Episode I - The Phantom Prince of an epic story. OP assumes it over at the beginning of the story. How can an epic quest be "easier" ??? | |

Posted: 7/4/2009 2:18:46 AM | I see where your coming from but I don't trip. I've emailed tons of women on this website. "Hey what up, lets go meet for a beer or something." I'd say more that 90% of the time I don't get a response back. But you can't approach women worried about if they will like what you say. You can't take it personal. It's not worth it. Your eager to find what's behind door number 1 (hook up) but I'd say 6 times out of 10 it's not even worth it. That feeling sucks! So don't sweat these broads... unless they steal your hoody. Different Topic!
Where as my friend Tiff gets 4 to 5 emails a day. She has a boyfriend so I don't consider the women i email that stiff me stuck up per say. Just whatever... it's another dumb chick and thus I move on.
I do have a comment about the not being picky... I am. I like a girl I can take out that looks good, but can also can hang with me in a debate... we don't have to agree. Just back up your point. Maybe that's why I'm single ha ha. Whatever man... don't sweat it. It's causing you to burn up way too much energy. | |

I have been wondering this myself and have been fairly annoyed at the obvious disparity in fairness. But when you put it that way, I have to admit your right.
I'll bring this up at the next annual guy meeting. Since the OPs question gets brought up a lot.
And to pretty much every poster that focused on the fat/ugly/kid thing.
Men are pretty simple. Well to other men at least.........
A large portion of men see obesity as a turn off and a large number of men do not want to take care of another mans child. So when a girl complains about not being able to get a date/reply/first contact e-mails, they usually fall into one or more of the above 3 category's. Not always of course........ But mostly.
Now this is what most guys have trouble comprehending.
Most men have absolutely horrible success rates when it comes to getting a date. And there is no obvious correlation (to guys at least) between them.
I want every woman to think back to when they were at their physical prime and those already there to simply remember last weekend. Think about how many guys on average hit on you. Now think about how many you responded to. If you actually do the math you'll realize that you reject far far more men than you respond to.
The thing that is frustrating for guys is......... Most of us just don't get why. | |
