| Lost, why watch it? Posted: 7/4/2009 1:59:51 PM | Ok, I've seen several discussions regarding the TV-show Lost, and now I'm dying to know, what is so intriguing about the series? I watched the first few episodes and I thought it was pretty entertaining, but then it was like confucius started explaining his philosophy to me in chinese! It gave me a headache, but since a lot of people obviously love it, maybe you can help me out, cause I feel I'm missing something ;) Maybe my brain isn't capable of keeping track of all the plot changes and flasbacks and forwards, who knows.
Fill me in! K!k. | |

Lost isn't the name of the show really..it is how most people feel when they tune in late or miss an episode! I't's real name was supposed to be "Dumbazzes on a Island"...or a remake of Gillians Island or some such...maybe....could have all been a plot twist though...or a dream season like they pulled on 'Dallas' years ago.

| Lost, why watch it? Posted: 7/4/2009 2:06:19 PM | I watched the first two seasons before missing an episode, after I missed that episode I got completely lost and stopped watching it, tried to rewatch the old episodes I had missed and was still confused as ****.
The writers try too ****ing hard to make the show dynamic. Trying too hard is a big source of fail.

It isn't just one writer, but a team of them...none of which know which direction the other is going. Then again, it could be a bunch of chimps with word processors, for all the sense it makes.

| Lost, why watch it? Posted: 7/4/2009 2:30:41 PM | Just the other day I hung out at the LOST campsite beach. Gorgeous place :P!
Anyways... I highly doubt the last season of LOST will live up to expectations. I almost think the writers have been simply pulling our chain for the last 5 years. I mean, honestly, they introduced Walt as a character who was seemingly fundamental to the plot and then he just disappears... No explanation. It pisses me off to watch the show sometimes but week after week I find myself returning to it, lol

| Lost, why watch it? Posted: 7/4/2009 2:53:03 PM | | People watch shows like this because they lack the impetus to go out and do something that excites them. Ergo they live vicariously through those who are payed to pretend that they do. | |

| Lost, why watch it? Posted: 7/4/2009 2:59:21 PM | | Lost fan here!! Ive seen every episode, I love how unpredictable it is, the clues and tie-ins, and how bits and pieces from a few seasons back suddenly become relevant. Or a bit character from a few seasons ago with 2 or 3 lines has a connection and pivitol part. That said, Im wondering how theyre going to wrap this all up this last season, I dont have a clue what direction it will go. Im just hoping it has a decent ending that doesnt make me regret the rest of the series | |

| Lost, why watch it? Posted: 7/4/2009 3:18:36 PM | I like the mystery in the series. But I eventually lost interest because it felt like no questions were going to be answered without spewing out 10 more loose ends from it. I used to love watching this show called The Prisoner, and by the end I was stuck sitting there going 'WTF?!' I like to have my curiousity piqued by something, but begin to withdraw when it feels like that something is treating my curiousity like its little bitch.
So now I avoid getting into shows like that, until long after they are finished and the reception of their finale was shown to be favourable. Then I'll get into it. Just don't spoil the ending for me!

| Lost, why watch it? Posted: 7/4/2009 4:37:19 PM | I was working shift work when lost debuted but my sister was a fan and as a gift her daughter bought her season one and two on dvd. I found this was the best way to get into it. It was like a book I couldn't put down and no commercials!!!!!
Now if I didn't catch it the night it was broadcast I watch it online, there are sites that show episodes without commercials. The writers strike didn't help much either.
I really hope the last season lives up to the hype, I am curious as to how old this island actually is and its origins.
Go to blockbuster and rent it, it's the best way to enjoy it.
