I'm going to Santa Fe on an unexpected trip this week. I just found out I'd be traveling last Wed. Any advice on what not to miss. I've not had a lot of time to investigate the tourist scene. Thanks

Art art art. Visit museums for plenty to do. http://www.visitsantafe.com/ should be a great resource for you. If you need some assistance with accommodations or anything, you can give me a ring.

I was just there last October. Nice to just walk around, the plaza is very small. Most people go to the Georgia O'Keefe museum which you can cover in an hour. There's a ton of art galleries along a street that goes east out of town, I forget the name of the street. Definitely go west to hit Bandolier National Monument, it's close and a really nice excursion. Lots of Indian (should say native American) casinos if you're into that. It's also a nice drive (about 2 hrs ?) north to Taos, also another artsy area and there's a bridge there over the Rio Grande NW of Taos that you can walk acroos, kinda scary. The opera season is world famous but during the summer. Have a great time.

Los Alamos, too. There's museums related to the A-bomb development but I didn't visit them, just drove through.
