Who is watching wife swap on channel 4?

I think it is appaling how a woman can neglect her two children from a previous relationship in favour of a high school sweetheart and their baby together. The way she treats those poor children as if they are a burden and the way she talks to them. She said on National tv that her, the husband and the baby come first and are a family unit and then the other two children.

Here in the US we have many clones of the popular UK shows. Just remember....it is TV, with scripts, directors, not much is real. It's just TV folks!

I taped it and will watch it during the week

I love this show though, its a nice insight into other peoples lives and how they go about their family life. The one the other week with the young mum who stayed in bed til lunchtime and left the baby in the cot half the day made me want to shake her!

Msg 7 it is not necessarily lower class people on wife swap. Last nights couples were two working class couples one a stay at home wannabe wag mom who neglected her children from a previous relationship for the benefit of her current and the second was a stay at home dad who felt demasculinized by his wife being the breadwinner and he just sat on his fat arse complaining about it.

PS. Squaddies are seen as pond life even though they fight for their country abroad as 95% of our forces are made up out of people from council estates whose only option is too join HM Services and then go on to marry as such and continuing a long line of pond life!

I saw parts of it,felt a bit sorry for her and the kids to be honest.

It seemed to me from what I watched that she would do anything to hang on to that husband of hers, including emotionally neglecting her own children.

Typical clingy woman who would rather risk her childrens welfare than rock the apple cart with her own love life.

really!!
think the forces might disagree with you on that, my son knows he has to get 5 gces at a-c grades to be accepted into the REME, as a squaddie. At his interview he was pointedly told the services are no longer a 'safe' bolt hole for those who'have no other option'. Like everywhere else these days, they can afford to pick and choose

by the way
his twin has been given a guaranteed place in college just on his predicted grades
my 14 yr old is working at higher gcse level already
oh and my eldest has just finished first year at uni with a 2:1 average

not bad for council estate pond life

^^^^^^^ There is a thread on the forums dealing with your particular issues, may I direct you to it : "Chavs?" But as we are off topic at the minute....

I was just drawing a correllation as to what message 7 had refered too. And as quoted by yourself " At his interview he was pointedly told the services are no longer a safe bolt hole for those who have no other option."

And if you read my post in the Chav thread you will see that I had reiterated that no matter where you grow up whether a council estate or private estate does not define who you are.

I was raised as an "airforce brat" so know that where you grow up does not define who you are!!! If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to email me.

SO BACK TO THE TOPIC!

You have to wonder what she and he were thinking when they had signed up to the series. Did they honestly think that people would view them in a positive light and pat her on the back for being a selfish woman?

Loads of kids are treated like tht. I was the youngest, my father had only wanted two and I was the third so he ignored me and i generally felt as though I was in the way

Its an oppressed women who is so in love her man that she is blinded by what she is doing to her children to keep him happy. I don't think she acts like that because she wants too but feel she has to to keep him. I hope from watching the programme she can see what she is doing to her kids and the likely irrepairable damage to her relationship with her children.

Hen was that the one who had a young baby and stayed in bed till 1pm leaving the child in the cot the whole day then spent the rest of the day on the internet and at the end of the programme was pregnant again?

Thats the one tm,I know there are people out there living like this ,but find it hard to believe they would leave their filth for someone else to clean up.I couldnt even let a neighbour in if my house was like that, never mind national tv! What is even more baffling is that the woman cleaned it up...........either its set up or these people are getting a lot of money for doing it?

It does highlight the differences of homelife and that none of us have it spot on.We all have room for improvement be it relationships with our kids, partners or our homes.

Pud......I think there are many people who watch and see themselves........Possibly a good way to make people see themselves in a different light,so,no bad thing in my eyes.

Obviously for the best television they take people that are complete opposites and get them too see how how there often extreme living isn't a healthy environment and that they are both better often meeting in the middle. The families often see how destructive their lifestyles are and the family units change for the better but I think that people live in denial and make excuses and that people watching wont change but it is one reality tv programme that does make a difference to at least two families.

I'm watching it on channel 4 now, its been on all of 5 minutes and that woman and her horrid husband who clearly favour the child they have together over the other 2 are vile and pathetic.

The husband just said that their family are them and their baby and occassionally her children from 2 previous relationships.

what a pair of w@nkers.

^^ I agree with what Foxy said. I don't know about her wanting to be a WAG either, her other half and her both need a f'kn swift kick up the backside

They are both lacking in common sense if they can't hug the kids and spent time being parents to all three of them as a family together! Making them eat meal in different rooms and treating them so awful. If she spent less time faffing about with her make up and clothes she might have time to be a mum. The anger the kids are showing is just attention seeking as any attention is better then none at all.

I wonder if the parents were always so selfish and me me me.. Or did it only happen when Andrea got back in a relationship with her now husband.

It is horrifying Foxy really is that people can be so self involved.

Hen I was astonished how the fat lazy cow could have such an adorable baby, she was clearly neglecting the child. And at the end of it she was walking to her computer holding a bloody puppy while her child was following her and she was pregnant again! What do I guarantee you that nothing changed in that household. The man is henpecked or thankful that for a 39year old he has a 22year old wife.
