Haven't been on PoF for a while, just decided to come back and I've written this profile tonight. I'd appreciate any comments or thoughts. I've never been the best writer, the sciences were more my thing :)

Posted: 7/6/2009 1:28:50 AM | Well the biggest faux pas in your profile is that you haven't stated the type of girl you seek, which will have many a lady clicking away from your profile because it's an unknown variable and they're not willing to contact you to find out if they're a match for you.
Secondly your pics don't really show a clear view of your face. The main pic shows you smoking and although you say you are going to quit, 'first impressions last' and when a lady sees your main pic (which is the first thing she sees), she's going to assume you're a smoker and for many women, that's a no go for them.
Try finding a nice clear headshot for your main pic. | |

Power windows, 5 speed, new battery, good tires. right. It is the same thing, you don't mention anythng negitive about the car, or who is going to want it. If you said the radiator leaks, that's like saying don't buy me. You saying your shy is saying you don't want to meet anyone! GIve us all your positive qualities, ask your friends and family to give you 5 ways they would discribe you.... get some help that way! The picture got to go, you look like you are bragging you are a smoker, that doesn't make you cool.... | |

Posted: 7/6/2009 8:52:05 AM | I agree with the photo comment. You need a clear head shot w/out hat & sunglasses. Using a smoking photo as your main image can be a turn off to a lot of people, I agree.
I would rework your first paragraph. That's the most important part. Pretty women get 30-40 emails a day. If you can't catch their attention in a minute, you lose them. If your first paragraph doesn't catch their attention, they won't read the rest. Focus on the positive, utilize some humor & make them laugh. Hope this helps. | |
