| Something wrong with my profile?
Posted: 7/5/2009 11:04:38 PM | I've written at least 20 messages to girl and have only gotten 2 responses back. Most of my messages were read and deleted and there have been some which haven't even been read and was deleted. The funny thing is those people didn't even view my profile (maybe you can hide views too?)
The question is, and be honest, is there something I should add or delete in my profile? Is it the pictures? Descriptions? First date? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks! | |

In case you haven't seen it commented on in these forums there are far more blokes than girls and girls seem to be absolutely inundated with messages so they do not read all their messages and the more popular ones will respond to very few - its a numbers game.
You need to talk about what sort of girl you are looking for (apart from not being a Giants fan!) Hope this helps mate. | |

You need to give it some substance. Tell her more about YOU - what makes you tick, what's important to you. what are your values? beliefs, Interests? what makes you the person you are?
Expand on these:
I love going out.
Where? doing what? with who?
I enjoy sports (playing and watching), ALL guys like 'sports' DUH! it's a given.
the girls who like sports will bring up their favorites, otherwise, sports are not high on a girls list of interests, usually.
However, if you are REALLY into a sport and it's really important to you, expand on that - example 'I played little league all thru school and now I coach my brother's little league team and pitch for my church's team.'
movies,
what kind? action, fantasy, sci-fi? what was your favorite movie? why? what have you seen recently? what would you LIKE to see
going to the bar,
What kind? dancing? Darts? sports bar? Karioke?
going out to eat,
What's your favorite kind of food? atmosphere?
dancing, etc.
There are times where I do enjoy staying in and just relaxing.
Do you watch TV? Read? have any hobbies? or just sleep?
Are you in school? what do you do for a living? what takes up your free time?
What are you looking for in a girl?
If you want to catch a fish, you need BAIT.

Posted: 7/6/2009 9:05:02 AM | 1) first of, 2 replies out of 20 is not bad. In my other profile (this is the ghost profile I created just for forums), I contacted 300 women & only 7 of them replied me, not to mention that 3 of them were rejections. The replying rate on this site is about 5-10%.
2) As far as writing goes, I would focus on the positives. Instead of saying "One thing I can't stand doing is being inside the house all day", say you like outdoors.
"I'm a big time Skins fan, so I'm not sure how good I'd get along with a Cowboy fan. lol j/k."
I know you are trying to sound funny but you are shutting down all the girls who like Cowboy, which is a huge demographics. I would take that out.
3) Get better photos. You look very stiff and languor in these photos. Get better head shots, body shots, and photos of you with friends.
4) I would come up with something more interesting. Like sports & outdoor is too generic. Cafe & nice walk for the first dates is kinda cliche & boring.
5) Use this site as supplements to real life. It's easier to get a date in real life than plentyoffish, especially around your age group. The ratio of guy vs. girl in early 20s is about 1:3.
