| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/6/2009 11:26:30 PM | My idea is having my date go to the grocery store, and just go shopping with me. And for the first couple of dates just pal around with me as I just go do my usual running around.
What is the word ladies?

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/6/2009 11:30:23 PM | | If i went with a guy to a grocery store as a first date, then i would feel awkward and possibly feel like the guy wasn't interested in me ,but saw me as a friend or a pal. I would say save the grocery stores for after you've been with the person for a while. | |

Um....why?
Truthfully, if someone asked that of me or suggested that as a first date...I'd think they were having grandiose thoughts of moving in and were showing me their eating habits ahead of time....
Or...I'd be wondering if it was some sort of fetish and you were planning on showing up wearing a trench coat and nothing else....or worse..asking me to wear one...

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 12:36:43 AM | Wow what a lucky girl to go grocery shopping and run around with you while you do your errands. If some guy tried to pull that crap on me for a first date there would be no second date...actually we wouldn't make it thru the first date. | |

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 12:53:36 AM | Ya, where the heck did you get this idea? And how do you approach this?
Hey baby, nice to meet you. I don't have the time or creativity to take you out on a real date, just follow me around for a while and watch me spend money on myself.

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 1:00:41 AM | I like it. First meet ups should be simple like that. It's actually better than just grabbing coffee. With grocery shopping, there's an activity involved. First meet ups should give people an opportunity to get to know each other in a safe and relaxed environment. Grocery shopping or running random errands fit the bill.
It's a good idea for people to get to know each other first before they decide to go out on a real date.

lol your main pic looks like your wearing a tank top. I had to look closely.
Lol i almost peed my pants reading that. It does look like he has like a tube top on haha.
On the main subject.... you can go grocery shopping after you get married. Not the first date.

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 2:35:37 AM | It's a very bad first date idea, as is posting a picture on your profile of your mountain bike fall.
You ARE trying to attract females, right???

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 3:54:23 AM | | Going to a grocery store for a first date? Uhm....no. Would the second date entail sweeping your floor? Come on, guy, surely you can do better than that. If you're low on funds (just an assumption, which will probably be made by her too), what's wrong with a nice walk in the park or in the city? Just saying.... | |

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 4:57:45 AM | I' d go with you ! hey, this idea quite appeals to me!... Could be fun, any date is as fun as you make it .......there again, it could explain why I'm single too. | |

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 5:19:10 AM | | Nah, I wouldn't like that very much. As one poster said, I hang out there enough as it is..would be different if we were going to pick out food for a bbq, or a meal cooked at your place. | |

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 5:54:06 AM | lol - Uhmmm....I would pass. I'm not crazy about having to do this for myself, let alone accompany a stranger to do this chore on a "date".
Use some imagination!!!

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 6:04:04 AM | | Sure, take her to the grocery store with you as long as you are buying stuff to cook her dinner immediately afterwards... | |

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 6:09:09 AM | I was in a relationship where date night progressed to that...
Notice I said WAS...
And if that was the agenda for the first meet - there wouldn't have been one.
|
| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 6:54:54 AM | | Oh - I totally love it when my date takes me to the Stop 'n Shop. Maybe after you can take her the the Wal-Mart? | |

| Is this a good first date Idea? Posted: 7/7/2009 7:56:54 AM | Okay, I'll pretend the OP is serious....
If that was suggested as a first date to me, there wouldn't be a date. Ever. Not even if he changed his mind then and offered up the best date in the world.
I actually went on a date with a guy and he was very keen on things being free and cheap - he suggested a pub because the parking was free (he couldn't stress this enough), wouldn't meet me there for a bite to eat because he preferred to finish the things in his fridge that were about to go off (gee, thanks!), and after our first drinks he suggested going to a casino he was a member off - again, because the parking was free, and he tried to steer me into switching to drinking coffee. Guess why? Yup, coffee was free for members at that casino.
