I think that anybody with something to add to a relationship and who puts the relationship before himself would just want to be treated the way he is treating her.
I don't have a checklist in my head. I prefer to just see what's what and if it's appealing then that's great . | |

Posted: 7/8/2009 6:36:28 AM | First impression is admittedly physical attraction for me. I look at height/weight/age/photos. Height is pretty variable to me, but I try to see if they are at least accurate with their weight. I'm not saying I only look for 'THIN' or young women.. but I look for honest ones. I'd date a slightly heavier woman that is honest about it before I'd date a slightly thinner liar about her age.
Then I check marital status/kids. Kids are beginning to be more okay with me, but separated is not anymore.
Then I check the other stuff. Education, smoking/drinking/drugs, job, car.
So I'd say the order in 3 things is:
1) physicality
2) availability
3) stability/mobility | |

4. Can hold her liquor.
5. Brunette.

1) Attraction
2) Approachability
3) Sense of Humor
4) A healthy mix of Athletic, Party girl, Snuggle Buddy and Attitude.
5) Most of all I think I appreciate a girl who is determined. A girl who will try and continue to maintain the contact and show interest equally. | |

1. Chemistry/Potential for mutual passion (taking her preferences into account)
2. Half or more of a brain (Spelling counts)
3. Positive attitude (not the same as a sunny disposition, but if she comes across as selfcentered, there's not much point) | |

Posted: 7/8/2009 8:25:53 AM | 1. Physical attraction - if it isn't there, it won't work; and it has to be there for the woman to me as well.
2. Intelligence/Wisdom - I want someone to converse with that shares a variety of topics. Note that I did not say educated.
3. Compatibility - Actually, I had a wonderful girlfriend that pegged the first two above - but didn't meet this criteria. Guess what? Our relationship fell like a house of cards.
Those would be my top three. Somewhere I'd probably throw in there a sense of humor and compassionate - probably in the third catagory. | |

-- BBW (this is just a euphemism for obese)
-- Smoker (it's a disgusting and vile habit)
-- Christian (or any other religion)
-- Non-drinker (I'm not looking for a binge drinker, but there is nothing more boring than a teetotaler)
-- Not in my age range (Kids in their 20s annoy me, women in their early 30s aren't typically attracted to me, and I'm not attracted to women in their 60s) | |

4... too many past sex partners

1) Has to like dancing.
2) Enjoys reading.
3) Not big on TV.
4) non-smoker
5) desire to learn/try new things.
Those are the top things I look for, because I know that if they don't meet these things the relationship will not last. | |

there top 1o things i seek in a woman;
1) can she hold an intellegent conversation. ( if not thats a turn off)
2) is she down to earth (dont like the better then everybody attitude)
3) is she fun to be around.( if its more fun sitting in an insurance seminar then problem)
4) is she herself (dont try to impress be yerself)
5) is family important to her? ( if my kids are a problem then they arent good enough fer me)
6) does she have common sense? (book smart are good, but need common sense fer everyday life)
7) does she have some common intrests? ( will she go ta car shows and concerts with me and by the same token will i with her?)
8) is she clean physically? ( the dirty lookin woman means she dosent take care of herself).
9) is she matiarialistic ( i dont beleive money is everything.)
10) is she loyal and honest and truthful. ( loyality is important. in a realtionship you need ta be there for each other no matter what).
the top ten things that turn me off:
1) playin the slut. ( a woman is to be respected)
2) fake laugh and smile ( that means she is not true and genuine)
3) going to bed on within the first five or six dates.
4) jealousy
5) Posseveness ( cant spell that word)
6) feeling somthing i git her is unappriciated
7) dirty apparence
8) dressin up ( be yerself)
9) texting someone or talkin to someone other then her kids or family durin a date
10) lack of family importance.

smoking dosent bother me. drinking as long as not a drunk dosent bother me. and physical apparence (ie eye or hair color dosent affect me its whats in her heart) | |

Posted: 7/8/2009 1:52:08 PM | you know what i look for is just someone who can hold a conversation without sounding like she's just thinking out loud, i.e. by just talking about herself the whole time.
beyond that it helps to have common interests and a good sense of humor but first she has to be someone i can talk to without feeling i'm being punished.

- appearance
--- attractive face (not much one can do with this, more my subjective reality)
--- fit body (tells me something about the woman and some of her core beliefs)
- intelligent, can write well and put forth a cogent post
- energetic, spell / grammar check and takes the time to look for previous postings of the same subject
- Christian
- does her profile and postings match (does she advertise one way and act another)
Stuff that turns me off:
- smoker
- obese, overweight
- non-christian
- lack of self respect in posts and profile
- lack of respect for others in posts or profile
- no imagination
- no smile (Please, ladies, guys are visual and your smile means so much!)
- using the anonymity of the internet to be mean to others
- married/separated, that's a buzz kill (got problems, work on your marriage or get divorced)
- liberal, statist, marxist/fascist/socialist (grew up in that environment, won't go back)
Some issues I wonder about:
- never married, WHY?
- no children, again, WHY? (don't like crumb-crunchers? - not a match)
- music tastes
