| My first PoF date
Posted: 7/9/2009 2:45:15 AM | I met a wonderful person on here a month or two ago. We sent 20-30 emails back and forth to each other, then we started chatting on AIM. Finally one night we discussed the idea of talking on the phone. I gave her my phone # and she called, and we spent the next two weeks talking every single night for several hours at a time. Everything was going well; I was finding myself enjoying her conversation and company. Then we decided to meet in person on a Saturday afternoon. I drove out to her house in Kansas City (about an hour from me) and I met her at the door. She invited me inside and she made a quick dinner while I sat in her kitchen and talked.
We were going to go out afterwards, but she changed her mind and said she wanted to sit and watch a DVD. While we were watching the DVD, her parents stopped by -- she'd told them I was coming over and they wanted to meet me. Finally, her parents left and we started "cuddling". One thing lead to another, and finally we were doing some other things... mostly kissing and the usual stuff like that. Finally, another friend of hers stopped by; we stopped doing what we were doing. By this time it was after midnight; she told me she was getting sleepy so I told her goodnight, and I left. The next day, she didn't answer her phone when I tried to call her. A few days after that, she told me she didn't want to talk to me anymore.
I know we moved too fast... it was 3 or 4 weeks from our first email on PoF to the weekend when we met. I'm just trying to understand this situation and figure out what happened, so it won't happen in the future. I was developing feelings for her and I wanted more than just a physical relationship. Anyway, any advice or feedback you could give would be appreciated. Any of you ever been in a similar situation? Feel free to email me privately if you want.
