Friday Sept 4th , 5th 6th and leave on the 7th
At the Fish and Game main upper campground in Fort Macleod Alberta
COHOST for this event is 1georgia2
Directions : on the west side of town across from the A& W turn north off hiway 3 follow the road down ( approx 2 km's) past the golf course and the daisy campground
continue north you will see the flags and the cookhouse on the right hand side , the sign will read fish and game main gate turn in and follow the road to the campground, (it can be seen from the road)
There will be
power in the cookhouse , the water is not safe for drinking, and no showers, there is a motel at the corner on the hiway in town for those that have no camping gear if they prefer, horse shoe pits if someone has horseshoes , and the river is within easy walking distance if you want to try fishing, there is some firewood there but its not great so if someone wants to bring some it would be appreciated
The Gate will be open at noon on the 4th
All meals can be either potluck (cook together as a group and share) or you can go to your own camp to eat....your choice ....
EXCEPT FOR ..........SATURDAY NIGHT
EVERYONE BRING A STEAK OR OTHER MEAT THAT YOU LIKE AND A SALAD OR OTHER SIDE DISH OF YOUR CHOICE AND WE WILL HAVE A SUPPER ALL TOGETHER . SURPRISE US WITH YOUR FAVORITE DISH!!!
NOTE: we are camped across from the golf course so if you would like to golf its not far to go!
And of course bring lots of laughs, good jokes, stories and have a great time!!!

That last one was real casual(for Angel)
And going to bring the CAMERA for sure
Got a spare 5500 gen set besides the one in trailer.......Need it ?

Posted: 7/10/2009 10:30:36 AM | no we won't need any generators they asked that we not run a bunch because of the lower campground, there is power available but we would have to pay for it so we opted just for the cookhouse with the lights and plugins , a generator running for a bit in the morning would be ok and there are a few plugins in the cookhouse for coffee pots if people want to use them,  | |

Posted: 7/10/2009 7:56:33 PM | Yippeee i found one set of horse shoes ( there are three pits ) so we have one set for sure, i have a little bit of firewood here i will bring , we could use more, and guyoldguy the ribs would be no problem for anyone that wants them , just chip in and i will toil over the bbq slowing marinading the cook and bbqing the ribs just say the word and i will make you some and anyone else that wants ribs, i do wings for everyone that wants some on friday nite my treat  ( kinda become a tradition ) | |

You are right Georgia. I do wanna. I start my new job Sept 2 and will just be moved in to a new place (I hope I find one next week) so it's just not good timing or I would since it's a long weekend.
Hmm, I wonder if I need to come back and get anything I might accidently leave behind? 
Unless I sell my Pathfinder soon, I may need to come back for that! Can't drive two vehicles at once. | |
