I like to convey who I am in my profile, steering from the cookie cutter profile of how great I am, how honest and good of a man I am, etc. I attempted to create a snippet of who I am to the best of my ability. Haven't had too much in the way of luck, I think my pics are good and I have plenty of them, I feel I am articulate in my profile and thoughtful in regards to being descriptive. Any input? Have at it. | |

Posted: 7/9/2009 7:35:51 PM | Hi there.. that was .... odd... I don't really think I got an idea what it would be like to spend any time with you, other than you talk a lot and use big words. I like that, but it just was... odd....
The pictures are ok. (Girl code for 'adequate') I would urge you to put a full body shot in your gallery, preferably outdoors. Shirt on, shades off. You've described yourself as 'a few extra pounds' - let your viewer decide. I guarantee you it's not as bad as you're imagining.
You've got Boxing as one of your Interests. Do you box? or enjoy watching the matches? Personally, I love watching the middleweights the best and prefer this style of fight over UFC or MMA. If you are boxing, it's a helluva workout, but obviously something you can't invite your viewer to join you in!

It was an interesting read to be certain. I'm an outlier amongst reviewers at present as I feel that if you put yourself into your profile, it will absolutely attract who you want it to (along with some invariably superfluous attention).
If you feel it hits that, then from a content standpoint I'd let it breathe for a while. Be patient, do due diligence when looking at whomever you contact, and you'll get a solid amount of response.
If you've tried that and it hasn't worked, post again and we'll see if we can't ground you a little. ;) | |

Posted: 7/9/2009 8:01:31 PM | first off, the prisoner #12345 reference is a real land mine. i know it's a joke, you know it's a joke, but a lot of women are going to see that and instantly cross you off the list. the profession slot is a good place to add some humor, but you might want to put something lighter there.
are far as general writing, you say you have a clever wit but the body of your narrative is pretty matter of fact and serious. also you say you've led an interesting life, but you're not showing the reader. what are some of those interesting experiences you've had that tell a woman she'll have fun being with you? what's your clever wit like when it comes out? can you write some into your narrative? | |
