Salad Dressing

So I was at the grocery store and needed some salad dressing. I always by 1000 island dressing but they ran out. So I was really not sure what to buy so my question is what's your favorite from salad dressing to flavored coffee creme. I love 1000 island and hazel nut coffee creme not a fan of philly cheese spread.

In a pinch you can mix mayo and ketchup ~ it's not as good as 1000 Island but it's okay

I don't have one favorite dressing ~ I like many and I'm not much of a coffee drinker but I love Enchanted Chai latte mix

I am a fan of Philly Cheese Spread ~ I love cheese, period

Vinegarette or other Italian dressings. Everything else is full of high-calorie crap. Sometimes I cave and buy Ranch though. I am a fatty at heart :(

I did notice that 1000 island was 90 calories per tea spoon I thought that's alot. Vinegarette was a little lower but I have never tried them.

chrispickle I love the hazel nut flavor it's great. I have not tried the mayo ketchup mix, must have a unique flavor!!

I'll go with Blue Cheese dressing please.

I'll also take either french vanilla creamer or chocolate.

And garden vegetable cream cheese works great on my bagel.

No no no...NOT just mayo & ketchup!

Mayo, ketchup, a pinch of sugar, some relish and a little red wine vinegar.

THAT was what was on the table when I was growing up - recipe directly from a woman born in 1902 - who got it from HER grandmother.

All that being said - I prefer bleu cheese dressing.

1000 Island or Ranch with Bacon or if you can find it, Green Goddess (if not, homemade is good) for tossed/mixed salads
Creamy Caesar for Caesar salad
Greek with Feta & Oregano for Greek salads

no creamer or cream cheese

I adore Caesar salad and I make my own dressing, I now find other Caesar dressings to be too vinegary for my taste. Of course with this comes a price… unless I’m with someone else that has eaten garlic, I tend to have to be on my own after having this for a dinner so I plan to only have this on either a Friday or Saturday to give it time to get out of my system.

Weekday salads get either Asian Sesame or Balsamic Vinaigrette and of course Ranch is great as a vegetable dip.

I’m not a fan of flavoured coffee creamer simply because of the sweetness. I don’t normally take sugar in my coffee and if I do, it’s ¼ of a teaspoon just to cut the bitterness, so I stick with flavoured coffees straight from the bean. I’m a sucker for a cappuccino (true cappuccino, not the vanilla cap that is served like a syrup) with cinnamon sprinkled on the foam.

As for cheeses… the one I can’t do without is a good Canadian Marble… but I’ll normally have five or six different cheeses on hand for cooking and serving as sides… jalapeno havarti is a favorite for sandwiches as well as provolone.

A couple of other things that are always on hand as a staple in my fridge are…

Garlic stuffed olives (incredible bite sized bursts of flavour)
Pancake batter in a can (no more dirty dishes to mix up batter)
Chili Sauce (more like a chunky sweet and savoury relish that goes great with mashed potatoes)
Coffee cream (need I say more?)
Godiva chocolate beads (again, need I say more?)
Home-made jam (two jars, strawberry and blueberry)

***edit***

vvv: You have mail!!! And I have coffee... bavarian chocolate... ;)

I'm-a Ranch person......... use'ta be able to get a Jalapeno Ranch round here that was awesome!!!
Could probably be made pretty easily or a salsa ranch YUM!!!
I like flavored cream cheese, especially the philadelphia brand honey-nut flavor, but regular cream cheese has got to be good cause it's the prime ingredient in CHEESE CAKE!!!!
Coffee creamer- just some good old French Vanilla and a touch of chocolate
woohoo

I like to get the seasoning packets and add sour cream and mayo to my ranch dressing.

Milk is my favorite creamer. The others are too sweet for me.

Reese's ice cream is my favorite.
Charmin is the best toliet paper.

Thousand Island by far is my favorite but I can do Ranch, French or Italian. Depends on what it's on, TI is best for salad or on burgers but on chicken give me Ranch and on bruschetta, give me tangy balsamic vinaigrette. I don't do coffee in any form, ick. Pizza Hut has the best ever creamy Italian dressing to put on their ham & cheese subs (do they still have those, it's been a few years since I've been to Pizza Hut).

Salad Dressing ... Cranberry, Walnut and Gorgonzola made by Trader Joe's. I eat it just about every day!

I love 1000 Island. I especially love some tuna salad (with a good amount of black pepper) on salad greens then 1000 Island drizzled over all. Olives on the side and I'm in heaven!

I don't like flavored coffee creamers, but I love cinnamon in the brew basket when I make a fresh pot of coffee! I add fat free half and half and Splenda in the mug. Blueberry flavored beans are great with cinnamon! Yum!

Bucks County Coconut coffee is the best flavored coffee on the market.

Costco makes the best chicken salad, rotisserie chicken, shrimp salad, bagels, cake, pastries, chocolate chunk cookies, and "Egg Beaters" and you can't beat their prices!

Trader Joe's cage free, organic eggs taste the best of any egg on the market. Weird, but there is a difference in taste of eggs!

The best Crystal Light/sugar free type drink ... Walmart brand grape.

Trader Joe's has the best flavored Greek style yogurt.

Trader Joe's makes the best ever snack ... dark chocolate edamame.

Teva makes the best sandals and flip flops.

Philadelphia, PA has the best baseball team and the best center fielder. Go Phils! Love Victorino! Whoo!

Creamy Caesar here, too - long as it's over romaine not iceberg and preferably with some chicken under it. "Normal" coffee - black with one sugar and one creamer (preferably real cream, but half-n-half, evaporated milk will also work.) if no cream(er), then black with sugar is fine.

The barista type coffees are way too far over the top for me.

Good Seasons non-fat dressing is great for pasta salads. Balsamic and vinegar for green salads.

If I get a salad at a restaurant, no matter what type of dressing, I always ask for it on the side. I want it to be a condiment rather than the only flavor I can taste.

Coffee, yuck! I am one of the very few adults in the U.S. that doesn't drink coffee or tea, hot or cold. The only way I will have iced tea is with so much lemon it's more like lemonade.
