Wow what can I say , what a fantastic group of people !! It was great to see so many turn up we estimate 35 to 40 bikes and considering most had pillions thats a lot of people. I was totally gobsmacked at how big our group was!!
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for coming I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it's people like you all that make a day out great! It was terrific to meet all of the new people who came along!! and of course to catch up with those I already knew!
A big thankyou to Ric our MC for the day much appreciated Ric , also thankyou effie66 for all the assistance with the list updating etc ..and of course Glenn great job mate !
Nice to see wotsup55 (Ian) managed to make it even with his scalded ankle , I hope it's ok mate !!
Once again thankyou one and all for a super day out!
If anyone has ideas for a ride I am more than happy to assist in any way Ican.

It felt so much more confident with a considerate thoughtful rider .Thanks again Buddy .
It was great to meet some really nice people and catch up with ones I haven't seen for ages .
I will definately be attending more rides if they are as good as this one.

Great job Cher, Glen and all that helped out, it is great to see such team spirit, all for the sake of getting out, having a good time and enough time to socialise.
The ride was a great reminder of how the rides used to be, A lovely casual day out where we get to meet new people as well as catch up with some people we now call our friends.
I was surprised at how many people turned up for this ride, there must have been around 70 people. The lunch was great and the best service I have ever seen at a pub.
There were no incidences or tickets at all, which is great. The shorter ride allowed me to join in and still get home in time for my children. I will definately be joining in a lot more again if this is how the rides are run.
If anybody has an idea for a ride just start it up and as you seen today there are plenty of friendly people ready to help out.

I am so happy everyone came along today, I had the most sensational day, its so much fun, when everyone turns up and has a laugh. Great team effort all, and thank you for putting a huge smile on my face.

For those who enquired about the wind proof, water proof, fleece lined jeans I was wearing... they are Thomas Cook, waterproof thermal jeans. I purchased them for 95 bucks from HI SIDE Leather Repair, located currently at 29 cripps st salisbury PH 0417723799. HI SIDE does relocate in 3 weeks, and their new location will be Unit6A/655 Toohey Rd Salisbury. (posted as promised)

I had the most awesome day out .. was just what I needed.. was great to catch up with some old faces and some new ones.. Well firstly i would like to say thank you for a wonderful day out i had a great time never been on a ride with so many people before, so wasn't to sure as to what to expect .
Thank you to all those that had a hand in the organising of this great day out it was awesome & i would love to do it again & look forward to the next run.
Was really nice to meet great & friendly people, laugh, have a great feed & get to know some of you a little better, look forward to seeing you all again

Posted: 7/12/2009 5:33:31 AM | I was just going to leave a short post to say ,Thanks to everyone on the ride today and to those who put this ride on for a great day.
But stuff it, this is what i really want to say about my first ride with you's today.
When i first pulled up at the roadhouse and saw all the bikes and riders , i was in two minds if i was just going to stay to say hi or was going to go with you's.
It was very daunting to say the lest.
Seeing that i stopped riding a quite few years ago and only just started riding again in the last 12 mths , mostly just short rides on the weekends , the confidence isnt quite back yet.
But after meeting a couple of riders i thought what the hell.
But what really amazed me on the ride was that everyone who came up behind me either just patiently followed along behind me or waited to safely pass me and not blow pass me at high speed and scare the hell out of me.
Many thanks for that everyone.
Hope i didnt hold anyone up to much.
Also, a big thanks to Ian and his pillion who made me feel welcomed at the start and Debnco and Mainey for when we stopped for lunch.
Again thankyou's all for making me feel welcomed and part of the group.
Sorry i didnt get to meet more of you's but hope to next time.
Hope everyone had a good a day as i did and got home safe.
Sorry for the long post.

It was a pleasure to meet you and have your company for lunch today. No need to appoligise for the long post, it is these kinds of experiences that encourage more people to get out of thier comfort zones and come along to events whether it be a bike ride or a dinner out, alot of people have the same feelings when they go to thier first event. The majority of people are very pleasantly surprised and go on to make some wonderful friends and find themselves rarely alone as they are out and about with a new view on life. We look forward to seeing you again soon mate. | |
