acurate than the gregarian..that we use..also it time's perfectly with the alignment
of the solar system..who can say..what will happen..heard the doom sayer's
who have been spewing doom and gloom since the existence of man..might i
suggest a different scenario..maybe a reset an enlightenment of man..were we
learn are foolish pursuit's of power and control have been for not..that we are
here simply to exist..and in that is the meaning of life..

Nancy there are so many such predictions..it's hard to see what might happen
even one from NASA that has a loss of life on earth in the millions..saying such
things as there will be a realignment of the earths axis..due too gravitational
pull of the planets aligning..in our solar system..OH! Well guess will have to party
like it's 2012 when it comes ..sorry had to throw that in  ..
maybe if we work a little harder on the protection and soladarity of mankind..
and worry a little less about when his/her end will come..then maybe the powers
that be will see fit to keep us around..

There were many who thought the world would end at the new millennium also. Since none of us can predict the future(can we?), I guess we should live each day to the fullest so if life is over then, we will have no regrets. Since that isn't vet far away- maybe we'd better stop putting off all those things we thought we'd get around to "one day". Life is short- eat dessert first! | |

Actually Diane and Cajun, the Maya did not predict the end of the world. It is just that their Calendar ended in their year 2012. Like Dan said many people and scholars have been trying to predict the end of the world since the start of mankind. Since the Maya Calendar has predicated more accurately of events to come than say Nostradamus, many scholars have of course been studying them. They were considered to be a highly intelligent people of their time, some say being beyond the knowledge of their time, even more than the great pyramid builders...However THEY did NOT predict the end of the world. Again their Calendar just ended there. Some believe since they stopped there, that this must be the end of the world, that they stopped there because there will be no more future to predict. However some believe it may mark the beginning of a "New" era, where man evolves into a new society, of higher level thinking, perhaps the beginning of a new mankind of peace and understanding. Note the words “BEGINNING OF” Note for those of you that are Catholic the Bible says NO ONE knows when the end of time will be.
Dan actually I only spelled it right because I went to google. At my age my memory isn’t always great and my spelling is BAD. LMAO I was e-mailing Laura (Spacey) about the subject when the thread first opened, I typed it as Mayo, instead of Maya, LMAO she replied back “you mean now the mayonnaise is making predications of when the world will end”…too funny!!!

On that morning, the Earth and Sun will align with the “Dark Rift”
near the Galactic Center. This event last happened about 25,800
years ago.
The magnetic poles of the Earth may reverse, leaving us

in my younger years ..the reverse of the magnetic feilds and the effect on
the human behaviour..was what i was referring to as a reset a change for the good..
maybe this whole existence of mankind has been running on a negative polarity..
when look back thru history it sure seems like it..your paragraph that starts with
the usual disasters..we don't have to wait for just turn on the TV and there with us
now..now as far as a return of Quetzalcoati maybe thats the reason for the markers
on the plateau's of peru ..starting to sound a little like Scientology..who knows
if we did we wouldn't be sitting on a sunday posting about it

Guess I'm a "the glass is half full" kinda of gal, I try to hope for the positive. Actually I'm one of those that believes the glass is only half empty when you are drinking from it, which I always drink from it ( I call it living)and then you must fill it again, so while you filling the cup again, the cup then becomes half full.....never mind… off topic and LONG story, perhaps best for another thread. I think too much....
ANYWAY back on topic...I like to think it is a new beginning.
Dan you are right the" Usual disasters" is already occurring, has been occurring for a while.
I think Mother Nature goes in cycles like every thing else. However HER presence is always felt. Unfortunately “MAN” (meaning men and women) over use and total disregard of the balance of nature cause disasters to also happen. Some of which we have only begun to feel the effects. I do hope the Human race as whole, recognizes this before it too late. Of course there are few trying to make a change…Kudo’s to them!!!!
LOL, on a Sunday morning what would I be doing?....LOL should be doing the laundry...pulling some weeds in the yard.....but this was far more entertaining!!!
Slipper as far as the crawfish...Hmmmm maybe they will mate like crazy...thus having a population explosion...feeding the food chain...thus wiping out some hunger in the world....who knows? | |
