Posted: 7/12/2009 1:50:41 PM | What a fabulous weekend!! I haven't laughed so hard I cried in a long time but I sure did this weekend!!
Thanks to Guy for the BBQ, the great food, the drinks, the fire wood, and all your work helping everyone setting up! Especially the dining tent, that was very handy!
Thanks to Chris for the Satellite radio, all your work helping everyone setting up, and of course for opening almost every beer I drank this weekend!
Thanks to Dakota for the garlic bread, the carrot cake we never ate, the fire wood, and all your work getting the tarps up to keep us dry!
Thanks to Smilin for the Caesar Salad and of course the Jello Shooters! Holy, you made a lot and so many different kinds!
Thanks to Outdoor Lover and NaNaJo for the food, the games and most of all that huge tarp! It wouldn't have been pretty out there Saturday morning without it! Thanks to everyone who helped put it up. That was a huge joint effort!
Thanks to Jen and Amy for the corn on the cob and the campfire singing! You both have amazing voices!
And thanks to every one of you for making my camping event a fabulous time! It was great to meet you and spend the weekend with you!!

I needed a weekend away and sure am glad that I went, even though I didn't get enough sleep on Saturday morning.....thank you ALL !!..
JJ, thankyou for organizing the whole event....You did a great job girl... ...
That dining tent sure came in handy didn't it??...I dunno what we would have done without it....
I forgot about my homemade cake with a Sobeys Label on it....Actually I put a Farmers Market label on it, not a Sobeys one....it tastes pretty good too...Want some?..lol
Guy and Chris, you guys are quite the pair.....Never a dull moment with you two, unless of course there's some snoring going on.... ...and even those moments weren't dull...lol...I wasn't as prepared for camping as I usually am...but the two of you sure made up for it....thanks guys...I mean Guy and Chris...

Jen and Amy, it was great that you both came out on such short notice to join in with a bunch of..POFer's.... ......Keep you eyes on the birdie, and don't forget to scream like a girl....lol..Where did you get those voices from anyways? Wow !!

Dakota...you had enough sleep Saturday morning for all of us!! 
The dining tent wasn't near as handy as your duct tape! 
At least we always knew where Guy was when he was sleeping! 
Not only did Outdoorlover's tarp keep us (mostly) dry but the leak was in just the right place to let me know my new tent leaks! Thanks Hun!!
Now that I have posted some of the pics (getting error messages now so more will be there tomorrow) Jen tells me that Amy spells her name Aimee! Woops.... Sorry Aimee!!

Posted: 7/13/2009 7:42:53 PM | Wow I dont think amy and I could have asked for a better group of people to go camping with  . Everyone of you helped two lonely, recently single women learn how to have a good time again. We thank you all for making the weekend such an unforgettable experience. Even the rain couldnt ruin our weekend! It was too bad that when the rain did stop that Chris thought it was ok to get the super soaker out and get everyone wet...again lol. This I hope will be the first of many campouts that this group of people gets together for  Maybe next time we can add more people to our group and watch our friends lists grow I hope everyone had as great a time as we did. Oh and by the way Aimee and I would like to thank everyone for the compliments on our singing. It was a pleasure to sing for such an avid audience  When we get famous you all can be our roadies Hope to see you all again!

Posted: 7/13/2009 9:17:35 PM | Thanks Jenn! I have a well-timed bladder so had to go to the bathroom when the super-soakers came out! Then I was a little hungry and my car was behind Dakota's truck so no one saw me making and eating a sandwich!
When you 2 get famous we can all say "I knew them when..."
Guy and I are working on Campfest 2 already. The date will be Aug. 7th-9th but the location is yet to be determined!

Posted: 7/14/2009 7:11:54 AM | Sorry, just checked my calendar and it will be the weekend before. The long weekend, July 31st-Aug 3rd. We're looking at a place with bands up near Huntsville. So Aimee and Jenn won't have to be our entertainment, they can just relax!!
