Posted: 7/15/2009 2:09:34 PM | Just curious how many guys have run into this, and how many girls know what I'm talkin' bout.
As a guy, if you date one (1) asian girl, you are forever and henceforth known as THAT guy.
And we all know THAT guy. He is called the 'Asian Persuasion'. I'm just wondering why asian women are the only ones who supposedly have this power. I suppose that the whole 'Jungle Fever' thing sorta counts... but people really only used that term in the early 90's when that movie came out.
Now, I've dated asian girls. I've also dated hispanic, african american, caucasian, philippino, and Icelandic girls. But it's true... you date ONE asian girl, and forevermore anytime you're out with your friends and an asian girl walks by they'll immediately look at you expectantly, hoping to catch you drooling.
It's just funny. Who knows what I'm talking about?

The thing is, as I said before... If you ever date just ONE Asian girl, forevermore you are labelled as one of those guys.

None of my freinds would even really notice, much less comment on the racial heritage of any dates of mine.
Maybe you just have ignorant obnoxious immature freinds OP.
If thats the case, I suggest you expand your circle of freinds to people who are past the sing stage.

OP I think it's because you've shown a preference, some guys do not find Asian women attractive so guys do, if your friends know your preferences then when a woman comes along that fits your preferences why wouldn't your friends wonder if you were going to go for it? | |

I dated an Asian girl once and I didn't have that problem at all, maybe it's just your friends.
Maybe it is. But this happened to a neighbor of mine, and we roll in completely different circles. He dated an asian girl, and from then on his friends automatically assumed that he would be instantly attracted to any asian girl which passed, simply because she was asian.

You're right. This is a guy thing.
As far as showing a preference, statistically I've dated just as many non-asian girls as I have asian. And as far as long-term relationships, I've had more with non-asian girls. Now, one thing which could be a factor is that I teach martial arts, and have been to Japan. I don't have a 'preference' for asian women, I have a 'preference' for women whom I find attractive, be they asian or otherwise... | |

Sorry to say that really sound so bullshit but again it makes a good shit of generalisation. I have some caucasian male freinds who are just the opposite of what you describe in there, they are so into and ONLY date Asain girls. Dont look to them like a curse or any funnier than dating girls from other zone. | |
