OP, of course you mean the gold seal thingy that mans you're "serious". As I understand it, some women were given them free when the idea was first implemented. That may be why it seems more women have them.
It doesn't make any differnce to me if a man has one or not, I will contact or reply to him based on his message, profile, and pic.

So far-- Favorites, gold members and first contact means nothing. People join just to look at the forums, people watch and even fib about their preferences (or profile) a little.
