| What is your criteria for rating men's pictures? (I'm a 3)
Posted: 7/17/2009 11:11:43 AM | No I'm not Carey Grant, Hugh Grant or even Lou Grant. I'm never going to be a 7 or 8 let alone a 9 or 10. Women have consistently rated my pics around a 3 or 3.2. What is the acid test for being a 5 or 6?
Is there a question you ask yourselves (ladies especially) that vaults a man's photo over the top? Do you secretly ask yourself, is this a guy I would want to walk around with? Is this a guy i wouldn't mind kissing? Is this a guy I would fantasize about?
Let's see how much I've learned on POF over the last few months. My guess is no to all these.
Women, unlike men, like to get to know a person before any of these crush factors can come into play. Well, the exception is drop-dead gorgeous guys with great teeth and great bodies. Am I right? | |

Is this a guy I would fantasize about?
That's roughly my criteria. Simply based on a picture, I would judge the extent to which I would be happy to get physical with the man in question. A 5 or 6 would be someone who is fairly average looking, not hitting any particular buttons but still fine to look at - just nothing eye-catching. | |

I give everyone the same rating no matter what they look like. I don't even look at the pictures. I just keep hitting 1. Glad I could help and you're welcome! | |

OP- rating pictures is purley instinctual.....to me. Not that I take part in it...I think its bullsh!t.....But its not something that gets thought over, its just rate then NEXT! So I guess on sight you are below average looking. Maybe its the picture, or just harsh reality. If you don't like it, turn of the rating feature. | |

if they are 1/2 naked (and yes I've seen topless women on the rating.. she had a 9 over all) or if they are being way to.. well advertizing too much.. they get a 1
Mostly I rate people a 10 because untill you get to know them they are. btw Op you have a nice smile.. goes right into your eyes | |

Not sure what you are exactly asking, especially considering the answers given. Are you asking how to improve your rating? (BTW, I wouldn't worry too much about the rating feature here)
If you want to improve, in general, and not for the rating, try to be the best version of yourself that you can. Diet and exercise, maybe get teeth whitening or your teeth worked on?
Or just be happy being yourself and stop thinking about ratings. | |

If you check his profile (at least when I did) he wasn't having his picture rated, or at least had stopped at that time. (I checked just to see if he had a legitimate 3 rating) He might have started again in the last couple of hours though. You see, if you don't like the ratings you're getting, you can stop, then restart, and they're magically erased and you start over!

There are a lot of people who really do this. Its chickenshitt. They can hide behind their computer with no recourse.
If they had any balls, they'd do it when they were out in public! They could point at someone and say; " you're ugly" or "you're a one".
Just like the guys who are rude to the girls and the women who rarely "commit" to a cup of coffee. They're all worthless and weak! | |

I'm not a fan of fat people so that, too, will immediately reduce the rating, and if I think a man is lying about his age on his profile, the rating is automatically reduced to a 1. | |

Guys on the street aren't asking for ratings based on their looks, they're usually just going about their business, so a rating would be unsolicited. Here you're asking for it, so you get it. If a guy I thought was unattractive or a 1 asked me, I'd gladly let him know.

I commit to at least two coffees a day - a rarely drink the whole pot tho I always brew it at max. | |
