| WTF? Posted: 7/17/2009 3:07:42 PM | I recently met (via POF) what I thought to be a wonderful woman - we traded e-mails, and we have even spoken on the phone....as of last night everything was cool - the feelng I got was that we would meet tonight......after leaving the gym I got a voice message that basically said - "thanks but no thanks". In a span of 24 hours, it went from - "yeah, let's meet tomorrow night" to "thanks but no thanks" WTF???
I agreed to meet her and she backed out....cold feet? who knows? but I tell you this, it makes for an aweful weekend....
We're all here to date - to find that "one" that makes us whole, the one I want my heart to skip a beat.....you know what I'm saying.....and out of the blue she not only cancels, but she's no longer interested - Interesting to say the least......
....I just wish that folks would be honest enough to let you know why - perhaps its me and if so, then tell me what I did wrong or where I fcked up?
I've had some dates cancel and the last minute never to hear from them again - and I don't know why? Is it me? - If so tell me what I did wrong so I can fix it - if it's not me, then at least tell me why you're cancelling.....
anyone else experience this?
Your thoughts are most welcomed......thanks

| WTF? Posted: 7/20/2009 1:22:34 PM | hmmm? I really don't think that at all....the conversation the night before was great - Like I said, before we hung up it was all about meeting the next day....she knew that I was going to the gym and would call her the minute I left - but I got her message first
What I really wanted to know was why she backed out? - the reason could have been perfectly clear to her, but the message was really vague to me - it was, hey thanks but no thanks. I really don't want to dwell on it, but I think it's just courtesy to tell someone the reasons for not wanting to go on the date. I'll hold no hard feelings - that's not my style - but in this case, I was surprised she said that - I was really looking forward to it - I guess I was bummed out when I posted this
....but the overall thing is, if you're going to back out and cancel all together (which is perfectly fine), just give a reason as to why. It would help ~ 'cause I can't fix something I don't know it's broken - know what I mean?

| WTF? Posted: 11/16/2009 9:26:05 PM | It's not you. I consider myself quite attractive and have had 100's of hits and have experienced the EXACT same thing. There are just some real wackos out there. Don't give up and I guarantee it is not you. Hang in there. Consider the source. good luck in the future. Elaine | |
