| Doors

We don't control the door that brings us to life, just like we don't control that closes and brings death.
In between the beginning and the end, we will open and close many doors of our own; at every level of education, every milestone, every career move, every stage of our life from newborn to grandparent, til the end of our life, we open and close many doors.
When we are young, we open the doors freely and easily. As we get older and get hurt, we close the door to take time to heal. Reopening the door happens slowly and more cautiously each time.
Some days we find it very hard to close doors that we know need to be closed. We know that those doors have to be closed in order for new doors to open.
Without an open door, nothing can gain entry, be experienced, or be learned. So today I shall fling that door open wide and let the sunshine, joy, laughter, and songs of life enter.
I know that there maybe times where disappointment and hurt walk through my door. However, I will be strong and face it, knowing that I am living with my life's door wide open to the possiblities beyond! | |
