| sits on the toilet outside in public? Posted: 7/23/2009 10:24:06 AM | Is this situation normal?? My nextdoor neighbour who must be about 50 has a toilet outside in his garden. However he sits on it and does his business and reads the paper. He then stands up to wipe his bum so everyone can see . He doesnt have a loo door and has only got a 2 foot fence up.which when going out to hang the washing out,hes always sat there. There is also a horrible smell comming from his toilet as i dont think he uses bleech. would you like to walk in your garden to see this? | |

If it was true then surely by now someone else would have made some official complaint to the council? We have a local character in our town known as "steve the tramp" and there are pics all over facebook of him taking a dump in the bin outside the post office in the town centre. Funny but tragic at the same time.

What he does in his own garden is his business, and until the smell contravenes council stench levels you may just have to deal with it. Or leave a bottle of Domestos extra on his door step

| sits on the toilet outside in public? Posted: 7/23/2009 11:21:12 AM | This post can't be for real - can it!!!!!
Normal - well I don't think having an outside loo is 'normal' these days.
Do you have 'washing days' - maybe he waits for them so he can indulge in a bit exibitionism.
Can't say it's something that I would like to see or smell.
Sneak out one night and put a door on - then nail it shut so he can't get in or wait until he is in it and nail it shut.
Turn your garden hose on when you go out and direct it at the toilet or even better, use a garden sprinkler then you don't even have to stand holding it. This will achieve several things, it could encourage him to fit his own door, even a bit of curtain, will give the loo a wash or will discourage him from sitting around on wash days.
Alternatively phone Environmental Health and Social Services. Maybe the guy needs help.

Are you serious? do you honestly think a bloke who takes a dump and wipes his arse in front of all and sundry is going to give a toss about bleaching afterwards?

would you like to walk in your garden to see this?
Absolutely!
It would mean my garden is 160 miles long......
Normal - well I don't think having an outside loo is 'normal' these days.
It is perfectly 'normal' to those who have one.
There is also a horrible smell comming from his toilet as i dont think he uses bleech.
Or the flusher, apparently........
He doesnt have a loo door and has only got a 2 foot fence up.
May I enquire as to the height of your fence between the two properties?

| sits on the toilet outside in public? Posted: 7/23/2009 11:40:57 AM | no one has complained due to the fact that his toilet only overlooks my fence,we have no neighbours oppersite just eitherside.i think it is utter discusting. | |

And are you prevented from having your own 7 foot fence just inside your property by any by-laws?
It would solve the visual problem.

| sits on the toilet outside in public? Posted: 7/23/2009 11:49:22 AM | ***Thats just Wrong!***
I have to say that is one desensitized individual. Has anyone asked him why he doesnt use the loo in the house?
It can't be the nicest aroma to have around on a Sunday morning while your waiting for your Bacon and Eggs to finish cooking.....old Skank's outside putting on a show for the neighbours.
I mean I thought it was bad enough when a former friend that I used to house share with would leave the toilet door open while he was praying to the Porcelain King.

| sits on the toilet outside in public? Posted: 7/23/2009 11:53:00 AM | I dont understand how this loo can smell if its out in the garden? Surely the fresh air would be blowing all the smells away before they reached the neighbours noses. I know when I open the bathroom window the bloke next door never asks me to close it! This tale smells more dodgy than a man in the morning | |

| sits on the toilet outside in public? Posted: 7/23/2009 12:00:55 PM | Is he Muslim by any chance? Perhaps he's got his toilet facing your way as it's pointing towards Mecca?
Would be an interesting sight - your head has got to touch the ground whilst praying. Maybe that's the source of the smell, he keeps bending down and missing the bowl!

| sits on the toilet outside in public? Posted: 7/23/2009 12:13:33 PM | It amazes me how many people are vilifying a guy for taking a dump on his own property..
If you caught a guy perving at you through his bedroom window whilst you tanned your white bits, I bet you'd call the police claiming him to be a peeping Tom... It's perfectly legal after all... Similarly I cannot find a law stating it is illegal to crap in one's own outhouse.. It's his garden.. YOU are the one invading HIS space, not the other way around....
If the guy wants a shyte let the man shyte for Gods sake... He may have a fear of the dark, or spiders, or weird women who watch for him to go to the crapper and might lock him in, or accost him... Look the other way.. build a higher barrier.. Go inside for a while... I bet his bog has less bullshyte in it than this thread!!!
